as someone who finally found the sunshine again after a year of being lost in the bed, this casual representation is very soothing.

i’ve been trying to have less meals with meat. we had delicious butternut squash curry that was flavorful and filling over rice, and i was super proud of it.

then my husband made chicken to put in all the leftovers… 🤦🏻‍♀️

i just got back from seeing it and it was amazing! really enjoyed a mature discussion about the themes with my partner, where we also recognized some of our friends wouldn’t “pass the litmus test” either. interesting to see it vexing used as a scale!

my running routine has been regular again, i’m eating healthy and clean with very little cravings, and getting some eerie short story collections under my belt: Thomas Ligotti’s Teatro Grottesco and Nathan Ballingrud’s North American Lake Monsters.

it feels like the clouds have finally parted and everything everyday is just suffused with an extra encouraging glow…
