Oui c'est vrai. La force de Reddit était son UI qui n'etait pas très user-friendly alors tu te retrouvais avec une communauté de passionnés, geeks et de développeurs. Le 'common people' restait sur Facebook & Twitter et donc tu avais une claire distinction entre l'internet des réseaux sociaux et le internet plus underground. Ça c'était avant 2010.
Maintenant Reddit est devenu un réseau social en sois. Le UI a été "dumb down" pour atteindre le plus petit dénominateur commun. Le résultat? Des bots, des trolls russes & chinois qui font de l'astrosurfing & des enfants de 13 ans dans leur phase 'edgy'
Les vétérans ont essayé aussi bien que mal de rester dans la mentalité du 'old school' Reddit mais si on est honnête avec nous même... on aurait du faire la transition vers Lemmy ou Kbin autour de 2015 quand le new UI à été implémenté.
Persi je suis extrêmement content d'avoir fait l'exode. Oui Reddit me manque. Mais pas le Reddit actuel, celui que j'ai connu il y a plus d'une décennie.

It's weird how we are living a copy pasta from the last century, a pandemic, a war between two countries in Europe that sparkle echoes of what happened before WW1. And then the pandemic, the inevitable economic crash, nazis feeling comfortable speaking about ethnic genocide and whatnot.

Je sais pas pour toi mais moi ma front page sur Reddit c'est vraiment rendu de la marde. "Rien changer" c'est une exaggeration. Plusieurs des top subs on juste disparu pour ne plus jamais reouvrir, d'autres sont juste NSFW donc filtré pour la plupart des gens, d'autres sub font juste mettre eu content irrelevant et les quelques subs qui reste "fonctionnels" sont remplis de bot avec la même one-line joke copié-collé comme top commentaires.
Si vous trouviez que rien à changer sur Reddit, c'est que vous aviez une expérience très différente du reste du monde.
