I mean you can call yourself that if you want, but no, we don't need a special name for your occupation / stage of life / population density of your place of residence configuration because everyone's already used to people they consider paradigmatically similar to yourself coming into their lives and workplaces.

Your world view is now predictable and known. Your future is not a wide array of endless possibility. Your potential and its course have been approximated with an acceptable degree of certainty. You're not part of the new and exciting or terrifying winds of change anymore. People know what to expect from you. You haven't merely worked for a living within the system, you became and now are the system. When the young reach the age of adulthood and come out to the world to claim things they feel entitled to, today it is sometimes you who holds the keys that determine if they get it or not.

Things would be different if you were a centennial (millenials are so passé), of course, but even if you attempted to rebel against your role as a system perpetuator, you'd just be another drone that has been adequately enslaved like the rest of us responsible workers, voters and citizens, only you'd be having a mid-life crisis.

But it's not all bad. At least we can laugh at their vocabulary and tell them a thing or two about "how we used to do it back in the day" while they doomscroll.

Hope you have a great week, fellow middle-aged drone! :)

Yeah, couldn't agree more. I don't know really know that much about LA cops myself but they have a p bad rep for discrimination of blacks and browns such as myself. I guess they're just following what the higher ups of their organization tell them they have to and conforming their own tribal crowd mentality.

We had similar riots here in Chile back in 2019. I don't blame the people who destroyed my neighborhood or tried to set the apt building I live in on fire (several times) any more than I blame the cops shooting bbs at the crowd wildly and taking out kids' eyes... I was upset at both of these things of course but at the same time I realized how foolish it would be to expect any different from anyone of the same background, social ties, world view and living situation.

It's crazy how reasonable and kind people with different world views can perceive the exact same situation as inspiring cathartic liberation or the end of civilized society.

For years, there has been a lot of backlash against the “objectification of showers”, which i can totally understand because it’s a “condescending” term that looks at showers like objects, not as actual places of epiphany.

But the same is happening with the concept of “showerthoughts”: If ideas are referred to as “showerthoughts”, that means that they are being reduced to their hygenic circumstances; to their ability to shower.

That is a condescending term. The view should be that showers are good places for thoughts first, and places to wash your junk second. Thoughts deserve showers, and a good wash, not because they’re showerthoughts, but because they come from showers. That is how showers should be looked at.

stuff.Ok, so maybe I didn't draw it but It's my favorite user comic of all time. Hope those of you who didn't know it, like it.

Here's the full album and the whole thing in one image.

Have a good one!

You might not agree with me, but then again if you don't, maybe you're just working with regex too much.

And for you savages that don't know your temperaments and think knowing about medical terminology that's been obsolete for over 2000 years is useless,

I made a cheat sheet for you.

Have a nice day, and make sure you don't run out of leeches or you just might end up doing css.

to...ask "why did the recursion cross the road?"

Thank you, thank you. I'll see myself out.

Yo más que nada deep rock galactic y mortal kombat 1.

Hasta hace poco tb jugaba mechabellum pero era demasiado adictivo, así que ahora sólo lo juego con conocidos.
