Trump [...] made a plea, still in capslock, for the U.S. Supreme Court to “SAVE US FROM THE DECISIONS OF THE MONSTERS WHO WANT OUR COUNTRY TO GO TO HELL.”

SCOTUS now has the perfect opportunity to do the funniest thing ever.

Yes, listen to Trump. Save us from these MAGA hat monsters

Perfect! Thank you.

I need prerecorded content as well as live DJs; a regular output of content is preferable so I can get you on the schedule, but anything and everything helps, even if it's a single 30 minute performance.

Check back on the community in a few days for instructions on how you can contribute (look for a pinned post). And thank you again.

Seriously, though, what are we supposed to be looking for in the second readthrough? I can't find any sort of typo or hidden message.

Thanks for your interest! This is actually my second attempt at a radio station for Lemmy.

The first go around did okay but the schedule was fairly empty most days. I did have a couple of dedicated DJs who would put on some amazing live shows, but for most of the day the station was just playing random music and the listener count would plummet as such.

This time I have a game plan. Taking my time to make sure I don't launch until I have a full schedule filled out.

If you know anybody who wants to build a programming block or do a live show, please send them my way! There will be plenty of timeslots available, from 30 minutes in length up to 6 hours. You can make a prerecorded show, or do it live. Music or talk. Whatever you prefer.

Everyone's minds are going straight to porn, but I have an explanation for this:

There is a lot of lore in OW; Blizzard has a ton of videos on YouTube that do a deep dive into it. Entire mini episodes of the stuff. My nieces and nephews (all under the age of 8) love every OW video Blizzard uploads. They didn't know there was a game, either. To them it's just another cartoon.

Yup. These people are bi and/or pan, but choose to have straight relationships. They think that because it's a choice for them, that it's a choice for everyone else too. Doesn't work that way.

You literally described the opposite of wokeness. To be "woke" is to hold the belief there are systemic injustices in American society, and a need to address them.

Pretending that these injustices didn't (and don't) exist isn't woke.

That's the nice thing about Garuda; all the difficult stuff is already set up for you, but because the distro is basically Arch, you still have the power to do whatever you want with your OS once you've used it for awhile and get the hang of things. If you wanted, you could even strip out all the Garuda stuff and return to vanilla Arch.

That's why I recommend it for first time Linux gamers. It's Arch with easy mode enabled. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Only in internet radio.

I have a theory that the reason why FM radio stations often hold contests is so that they can gauge how many people are listening. By counting the number of entries and calculating an estimate of what percentage of radio listeners enter their contests, you can get a rough estimate of how many people are tuning in.

Kind of like how Nielsen operates. Send out a survey to a percentage of the American population, and from their answers you can figure out how many people watch a certain show.

I would but I made the mistake of giving a foldable a try (got myself a used Samsung Fold 4 for $400). I got too used to having a tablet in my pocket and now I can't go back.

Problem is that foldables are still niche and a fold with an IR blaster is even more niche. Doubt that any exist but I'd love to be proven wrong.

In the early 2010s some flagship Android phones came with IR blasters built-in. You could turn off any TV anywhere, simply by pulling out your phone.

I miss the days when smartphones were fun.
