They also have LGPL mentioned in their readme. I'm so confused what happened. I was thinking of switching to this app, but after reading more about the app, feel like staying with Monekin

Thanks for the added context. I didn't even notice that LGPL was mentioned in the readme. I was thinking of switching to this app, now idk, might as well stay with my current one.

I'm not at all an expert with open source licensing, but does the following conflict with open source licensing ?

I don't mean any ill intent to the developers of the application, but want to inform them if there is something wrong. (Sorry if my question feels dumb, I'm just getting familiar with licensing terms)

I've been following this app for sometime and it recently had its alpha release. While taking a look at the Terms and Conditions section of the app, I came across the Application Use section which reads:

  1. Application Use

3.1. License

Pockaw grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for personal or small business financial management purposes. 3.2. Prohibited Use

You agree not to: Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify Pockaw. Use the app for illegal activities. Exploit the app in ways not intended, such as reselling it as your own product.

Droidify. It's otherwise a really good client. I'll make an issue on their github page

Thanks, you're right! I enabled Izzy's repo through the official F-droid client and it's showing 'No versions compatible with this device'. Finally found the cause, thank you

Seconding Fantasia Archive. It is probably the most feature rich FOSS Worldbuilding tool.

There's also Hammer which is underrated imo.

WorldLoom is another one but currently undergoing a rewrite.

Although not specifically for worldbuilding, Manuskript is another option.

Wavemaker is another option but has optional AI.

Unless there's readily available templates, you'd have to rework logseq a lot for this simple task imo. Take a look at mdSilo which is similar to Obsidian and with graph views. If you want something like Notion take a look at Appflowy or Affine but both are super into AI. If you're fine with self hosting, there's Colanode which is similar to Notion and into AI.

Is this using some sort of machine learning model that runs locally or just strict rule checking ?

Are you looking for a 1:1 alternative to pocket ?

I've heard good things about Readeck.

Linkace is similar but you'll have to wait a bit for their official instance

I found this while browsing after Pocket announced shutdown, but haven't used it. It's pitched as a Pocket alternative, has support for Pocket import and similar features, but I don't think there's a dedicated Linux app.

I personally use Linkora but it is a bookmark manager, doesn't have an in built reader. It has both appimage and deb packages and is available on other platforms as well.

Shiori is a Pocket clone but I haven't used it

Raindrop

Almost all Pocket alternatives need self hosting. I was using Joplin web clipper and now I just use Linkora.

There's also Linkwarden.

Chaski is mostly an RSS reader but it can find feeds for websites as said on it's page and dowload articles.

TLDR - If you just want to save/bookmark articles, give Linkora a try. Or you could use the web clipper of Joplin.

Your app is really good, I use the android version. It has most features one expects. It loads really quickly compared to Joplin (ik Joplin has a lot of other features, plus I have a few plugins installed as well). I also really like the customization option - ability to create custom themes is awesome, I like creating custom themes if the apps provide the option.

And the numbered list issue is present in almost all apps I tried, one dev told me its due to the editor they use. The only reason I stick with Joplin & markor is because they're the only markdown based apps I found where numbered lists work.

Thanks for making print notes!! And most importantly, don't burn yourself out, take rest. I'm not a developer, I'll assist with testing though

I forgot to mention your app, I use it on my phone. Pretty fast app.

I was planning to add an issue - when the numbered list reaches 3 digits, it overflows to the next line. This was the reason I went back to Joplin. But I have high hopes for your app :)

SOLVED : Movie name is Idiocracy

I only remember one scene which I saw on youtube years ago.

It's a science fiction movie. The character is in a futuristic prison, where he just arrived. The guards are asking him his name. He is asked to put his hand into a machine where his name/number will be tattoed on. He answers something else and that gets tattoed on his arm.

I first thought it was Total Recall, but it doesn't seem so.
