Hahahah, definitely an ahole lol. Some people
I feel like AI would be better put to replace CEOs than Frontline workers lol. Get rid of your most expensive asset and improve efficiency.
Beauty! I can only imagine how the house smelt. I love your tea towel too!!
I used a lame for the longest time, but it wasn't doing it for me. I found a razor was too small for me to directly hold and ended up settling on box cutter replacement blades! They are usually 3ish inches long, so lots of room to grab onto. They also dull less quick than razors.
Since Lemmy titles can be edited, this seems fair. I don't think posters should be required to update titles to match edited headlines however I believe it should be recommended.
If they are smoking there is definitely something wrong. I've run gas blowers / trimmers in an enclosed space and they shouldn't smell for a decent while.
Thanks for the information! I would never have guessed that tbh.
Sorry to break it to ya, it's the 2nd or 3rd at best 🤣
Looks awesome
If you create a new reddit account you receive curated content from day one is the point. I've also been a oldreddit user so I didn't even know default subs went away lol.
I also set my Lemmy default to new comments, subscribed/local cause all is buggy AF it seems(d).
As the guy in the article mentioned, If this were the case I would hope to see and exception for contractors/business. Electric has come a long way, but still pales in comparison to a gas blower/trimmer.
As for pollution, while it's important to tackle all angles of a problem. There are definitely bigger fish to fry. Two stroke emissions might be "more harmful pound per pound" but there is a million times less of those pounds.
I don't live in Toronto, but is the sound pollution from two stroke engines really that bad? How does it compare to construction noise or traffic noise? There is no logical reason a two stroke engines should be running for longer than 20-30 mins at a time and that's stretching it.
As of right now, I'm finding Lemmy has more than enough content for my daily browsing. However, that's because I took a few hours last month scouring as many instances as possible for the highest usercount communities that I wanted to get in my feed.
Reddit has a decent default sub list, and that's what's going to push new people away from Lemmy imo. I was frustrated enough with Spez to ditch reddit and dedicate a few hours to making this my new home.
Lots of people aren't going to want to put that effort in, especially when their feed at Reddit was not effected by any of the changes made.
Looks like a good start! What ratio do you plan on feeding with?
Equal parts by volume will work for a initial bloom but will run into issue very quick for feeding.
