Ah, the bambieshart's brocade quest. The video really sells the voice acting!

Gog stopped their own linux launcher and instead unofficially partnered
Stop spreading this nonsense.
Heroic added affiliated links to their software that anyone can apply for (without notifying the users at first).
I like ceramic tiles in places that will be wet a lot, like washrooms and kitchens.
The previous place I lived had vinyl tiles, I liked the feel, but they lost colour in high traffic areas quite fast, like in the living room, or under office chairs with casters.
Parquet floor might be my favourite, I remember when I was a child, we moved to a place and my parents removed the old carpet just to reveal this beautiful pattern underneath.
Sadly, here, I lifted a corner of the carpet, and it seems to be some sort of concrete slab underneath.
Remove the carpet, yeah, I was reading and a bunch of things they add to textiles contain PFAS, from flame retardant to water/stain proofing.
It seems hardwood is the best option for health and environment, but also one of the most expensive
Thank you for organizing it. I loved learning about so many songs.
I see, thanks for the heads-up, that did not cross my mind.
By the age of the carpet here, I don't think it is PFAS-free. I think it will be best if I use the money to remove it.
I could not find their API documentation, so I imagine the current NETFILE might not be too far from that.
Absurd we don’t have a system from the government directly to do this.
yeah, It seems the lobby is too strong here. A bunch of countries provide their own software with autofill included.
I can vouch for GenuTax, https://www.genutax.ca/Home/About
Positives:
- it is like a wizard (next->next->finish) that asks and explains everything you need to answer on each page. It helps me a lot to keep up with the changes in the rules.
- runs on your computer, so your data is not going around being sold.
Negatives:
- Windows only (it seems it can run on emulators, but needs some tweaks).
- The Wizard might be a bit overwhelming at first as it will ask you everything. Before, I used SimpleTax(online), and it would have checkboxes for you to pick each form you want to fill before starting the filling.
SimpleTax used to encrypt your data they store (if you lose your password, you lose your data). They changed that, then they changed their terms so they can sell your data to partners. Simple tax is now Wealthsimple.
If you decide to use an online or mobile tool, make sure to check if you agree with their terms, and you are comfortable with their security measures.
Personally, this is not the kind of data that I would be comfortable sharing with unknown actors.
Good call, you also gave me an idea, I will look into used, and local business parting ways with old stuff.
Mytee and Karcher seem to work great from the videos I saw, thanks for the recommendations, I was not aware of those brands.
Thank you so much, this seems to work better than most consumer grade stuff I saw around. And the video explains so well.
I am not sure if you replied to the wrong thread, good for you that it works for your needs, but
My point is that GOG did not drop Linux support and instead partnered with another company. Not about the quality of the software.
That said, it is shady to inject links and not notify it on the release note or change log. I think there was a message on their mastodon at some point, and the implementation crashed for some people with more restrictive firewall on their network, there were some discussions on the issues page of their code repository.
