This is the same comment that appears on every YT update for 15 years. No, it won't happen. YT is too big to fail and real competition is almost non-existent (due to various reasons). Some have tried, all have failed, unfortunately.

Also, I'm sure people would rather pay a monthly subscription than go to other plattforms.

In Griechenland bekommt man zu seinem Kaffee + Snack aus Prinzip einen Plastikstrohhalm, ca. 20 Servietten, eine Papier Tischdecke und eine kleine pfandfreie Plastikflasche.. Das ganze wandert dann in eine Restmüll Tonne, denn Mülltrennung gibt es generell nicht.

Im Supermarkt sehr ähnlich zu deiner spanischen Beschreibung. Man wird doch ziemlich verwirrt angeguckt, wenn man die Plastiktüte nicht haben will.

Das soll kein Bashing sein. Ich weiß, dass die Länder durch die heftige Korruption ganz andere Probleme haben und der Fokus sowohl in Politik, als auch der Bevölkerung woanders liegt. Wie krass der Durchschnittsdeutsche auf Mülltrennung achtet ist schon erstaunlich. Zumal es dort aufhört, weil bequem. Das Auto abschaffen oder vegane Ernährung, die beiden Sachen, die wirklich etwas bewegen würden, interessieren keinen.
