This looks interesting. I'd definitely use it if I used Lemmy on PC.

Also about that Reddit migrator thingy, couldn't you use sub.rehab instead of lemmyverse.net? Some communities have different names than their Reddit counterparts, so this could be useful to find them, and it also shows which communities were verified by the mods of the original subreddit.

Bromite also hasn't been updated in over half a year, which is bad for a browser. There is an up to date fork of it called Cromite

Wow, that's a lot of deaths! I'm impressed you got through the whole level, I probably would've given up after maybe a few hundred deaths, or earlier.

Chapter 2 will feel so easy after that lol

By the way, Awesome Lemmy Instances shows monthly active users, not total user counts. Your point still stands that lemmy.world has many more users than all the other ones tho.

Here is a list that also shows total users: https://fedidb.org/software/lemmy

According to lemmy.world admins, the downtime is caused by DDOS attacks, not big user count. I still think the large user count is part of the problem because I imagine it's easier to DDOS one server with 120,000 users than 12 servers with 10,000 users

We are guilty as aspecies of tending to choose the most popular option because it offers the most interaction.

I don't understand what this means. If I compare the All tab between lemmy.world and a smaller instance like lemmy.ca, they are both pretty much identical. I don't feel like I'm missing any interaction.

For small instances I can see why it's a problem since at least one person needs to be subscribed to each community to federate the posts, but there are many instances that are big enough to not really have this problem.

If you're willing to go through the pain of sideloading on iOS and you're ok with giving a random app your Google account, uYou+ is pretty good.

reposting this comment because I accidentally clicked post before finishing

Open the Lemmy Redirect app, open the 'Set Up Link Handling' dropdown, then click 'Settings'.

Lemmy Redirect 'Open by default' section in App Info

You should see this screen. (You can also find it from App Info)

Then click 'Add link' and you should see this screen.

Supported links section showing that there are 1504 supported links

You can manually select all 1504 of them if you want to, but I don't think anyone wants to do that

The app I use, Moshidon, is able to open shared links in the same way infinity does. Maybe some other apps can do this too.

There's also an app similar to Lemmy Redirect called Mastodon Redirect (IzzyOnDroid) (GitHub). The app says it works with the "official" Mastodon app, Elk, Fedilab, Megalodon, Moshidon, Subway Tooter, and Tooot.

You can also copy the link and paste it into the search bar in the app you use.

I can see that, yeah! After I made the strawberry, some people were making the flag of Sweden and Denmark where the strawberry I made was, but instead of paving over it they built the flags around it!

Someone actually made another strawberry next to the Madeline, and they put tiny Sweden and Denmark flags next to it. I find that really cute.

I'm not able to install the app, anyone know why this could be happening?

I think it's because the release is tagged as pre release in codeberg, not because it's below 1.0
