Christmas is extremely profitable, so corporations want to extend it as much as possible. In the UK, shops sell christmas stuff in august now. It's ridiculous. Also, everything has to have festive packaging, even products that have nothing to do with christmas.
I agree that productivity should be rewarded, but that's not what happens. If you work hard, the company will realise that they can get the same work done with fewer employees and will reduce work hours to increase profits instead of rewarding you.
This is definitely true for me. I think way too much about the consequences of my actions and I could never work in a job where you're rewarded for tricking customers or being dishonest.
I'm a leftist but I agree. Anarchy is unstable and will eventually turn to dictatorship, democracy or neofeudalism as people will always want someone or something to lead them.
