Haven't had a Revocation track in a hot minute, figured I'd post a new single that just came out from the newest album coming out in September. Primarily playing technical death metal but with elements of technical thrash, I'd feel this is like 75% death, 25% thrash. Has a guest appearance from Jonny Davy of Job for a Cowboy. Also has a delightfully fucked up music vid lol.

Quintessential power/thrash metal about Dracula of all things. From Houston,Texas in 1989. At the peak of technical thrash, so there's a few hints of neoclassical metal in the solos. Definitely one of the greats.

I thought about posting Sabbat once upon a time, they are great, especially this album! Almost too great, they had to nerf themselves with that production lol. Great shit dude. 🤘

Hell yea, I'll be uploading there as well! Likely not as frequently as here as well but still more than my other weekly uploads in certain other communities!

Old school thrash from just outside LA, California. Time has not been kind to this debut, but the opener kicks ass, which is my pick today. Speed metal voice with crossover thrash songwriting certainly makes it unique. This is definitely someone's ride or die hands-down favorite, but it ain't mine.

From Quebec, Canada we have more hardcore/metalcore with thrash metal dripping from its edges. Decent riffs/guitar tone and the voice knows how to keep it in control, and a beatdown style hardcore breakdown in the end.

Tidal, Bandcamp, RateYourMusic, not "metal enough" for the metal archives

Side note: I notice what this trend my daily recommendations keeps giving me and I'm not sure I'm too into this metalcore or hardcore direction just yet. I'm trying to keep an open mind, but I'll leave the decision up to you guys if you want me to keep these coming, as there are definitely more of them than I thought.

Hah, had a feeling you'd love it. Maybe this is the step I'm missing to enjoying MW, as I enjoy this quite a lot too xD

13 minute epic deserving of its own EP. Beautifully intricate and pounding, relentless and never boring. Let's make a deal, a diamond for disease.

Aussie psychedelic prog-rockers decided to release a thrash metal album with stoner tuning and style and it fuckin melts your face off. This track here today tho takes a more doomy approach by slowing way the fuck down. Fun Fact, this album came out mere months before the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Classic from one of their most controversial albums. Fantastic riffs and one hell of a great set of lyrics.

Metalcore band from Ohio, USA that blends a lot of thrash metal and crust punk into their music. Vocalist James Bulloch has a shrieking yell that can be a bit much - on this album he's credited as "HF" or Human Furnace lol. Another standout is the title track of the album, Hammer of the Witch.

Not as bad as the reviews from metal archives suggest! A bit on the forgettable side but it's really not terrible lol.

Cavalera bros' band, that isn't Sepultura or the Conspiracy, which plays crossover thrash with crust punk, groove metal, and occasionally mixes in some death metal. Definitely better than I would have thought, never judge a book... etc lol. You'd be moshing if this was played in a venue for sure. Also peep at the song I.C.E. Cage xD.

My favorite Nevermore release. I'm hopeful for the future of Nevermore once they find more members! RIP Warrel Dane and TIm Calvert.

Groove metal and crossover thrash come together with a fat production befitting a long and storied band. Prong typically add industrial elements and sometimes play nu-metal, which is definitely not to my liking, but those parts are mostly missing here. The groovy sections can be a bit much, though it doesn't detract from my overall enjoyment. Linked is the last track before the Rush cover.

More of my favorite Polish band that isn't Behemoth or Decapitated. I bring to you my number 1 track from this their not so greatest album, but the main riff carries.

Hell yea! I've been going down a long list of old school heavy and speed metal these past few weeks, and while the usual modern thrash or crossover track comes along from my daily Tidal recommendations, it's been giving me a LOT of traditional stuff too, both old and new. It's been a real treat, as (if I had no need to post here at least once a day) I'd never be recommended something new. Glad you're enjoying some of it too!

I kid lol but one of these days my playlist will have all these bangers spinning, just need to keep listening for something that hooks me or wears me down xD.

This is the most British comment that's been directed my way so far, I feel quite "hair" with myself indeed, in fact you could say I'm chuffed to bits lol.
