I have met a shocking number of Trump voters who really like or liked Bernie Sanders. That number is four, but it's still shocking and I don't go out much. Obviously they aren't paying much attention to policy or reality, but I wonder how common this is? My father-in-law is one.

People who live a hunter-gatherer lifestyle today live 65+ regularly. The average may be lower for uncontacted peoples for various reasons, or higher because of reduced disease transmission. I imagine it depends on the group.

Now, I will give you that humans have refined their techniques of hunting etc over that 90k years in a way that caused less accidental deaths.

The crux of the matter though is that the statistical averages you have seen are flawed by infant mortality. In these societies, if you made it past toddler age you were statistically likely to live a long time.

What would be killing people much past their "prime" and how do you define prime?

But it isn't. Technically.

If someone is that sensitive to sun they should start picking up fashion tips from the Bedouin.

They've cracked the code....

You must know how averages work. The poster is correct. Average age at death is a horrible metric when you have gigantic birth and infant mortality rates.

I'm sure you could get signatures as long as you don't use the word sun, similar to that ban dihydrogen monoxide bit. Take video.

Sometimes I think I've heard all the batshit nonsense. Other times I read something like this.

Is it really most states? I'm in an extremely conservative state. I refuse to join a political party. I'm allowed to vote in the Democrats' primary, but not the Republicans'.

If you are in this situation, please vote in the primary after learning about the local candidates.

There is one big thing- You must ask for the Democratic Party Ballot. I was used to getting it by default and was disenfranchised in 2008 by being given the no affiliation ballot. I realized it when I got to the machine and was not allowed to change. I left yelling about it, like that did any good.

The both sides bitchers aren't 90% of Lemmy, not even close. They've just got loud mouths. Usually I see downvotes on this type shit and see someone challenging them.

I think after so many didn't vote because of both sides genocide, and have seen what they caused, they've shut the fuck up a good bit compared to election season. A lot of those were probably ops anyway.

We won't be getting in. I will be voting for Democrats and I hope they get in, even though they're mostly detestable.
