But tea made without heating the water can have botulism or other bad bacteria.

Amber bot is shit at poetry.

The idea of an onion as a metaphor for heartlessness is intriguing, because it's layers all the way down, but there's no poetry in the approach.

Any two socks that feel comfortable together on your feet are a pair. Not so different in thickness that they make you walk in circles, though. Color variety is a plus. Did you know you can buy packs of deliberately unmatched but coordinating socks? For girls with style!

I don't think that's possible in my 1970s building. My water heater is in the kitchen and the tub/shower is way across the apartment so I get 2 gallons. I have a big balcony with lots of happy plants.

I feel like that title calls for a joke but I'm too tired

Tonight's news has a story about a new variant that can cause "razor blade throat" if you need another incentive

And she's woman enough that the Reading Chronicle blurred out her nipples/boobs in their picture!

I sort of like the recent (running, I think) competition where the trans girl was allowed to compete, and she and the cis girl who came in after her got the same medals and place on the podium as if it was a tie. Second place, I believe. That seems much more fair than this.

Edit: it was California track athlete AB Hernandez. Several nice stories about how mutually supportive the girls were. But now I'm seeing a story about Oregon cis girls stepping down from a podium because they refused to be there with a different trans girl. Because I guess hating on her was more important to them than celebrating their own win. Sigh.

Yes, although the mass disposal of bodies in a septic system under the building was discovered in 2017 so it's been known for awhile. The new part is that they're finally being dug up, identified by DNA and/or matched with the death records if possible, and will be properly buried.

Paring and shaving away all excess, leaving only the simplest way, is what Occam's Razor does.

I would differ with the chart though, and say that if a razor is visible in the first act, someone's throat will be slashed by the end.

They might also mean "deserving to be protected from harm" like a sacred cow, although 1. That term is usually used ironically, and 2. Plenty of assholes think it's fine to harm trans people. But it's well-intentioned.

Wait, this is not from The Onion!?

Fucking idiotic timeline.

"highly valued and important" and "deserving of reverence and respect" are among the definitions of "sacred" in Merriam-Webster. It's a word often connected with religion but it doesn't have to be.

And occasionally bites

It's not a crazier idea than most of Kennedy's. Someone should do a study. Or make one up, nobody checks anymore.

But is it really a catapult? (www.thebrighterside.news)

Using centripetal force puts it in trebuchet territory does it not?

Seems to me, calling the GOP the Right Wing contributes to their delusions of grandeur and self-righteousness. The fact it's only supposed to be "sitting on the right-hand side of the room" is lost in deliberate ignorance. Looking for a more accurate label. If you don't like these two choices you're welcome to ring in with your suggestions. Since other countries have their own versions of a Right Wing, ranging from something equivalent to the US Democratic Party to full-on fascism, y'all are welcome to weigh in on those as well.
