One review (easy allies) made it sound like the online function was non-operational during the review period. You'll probably have to wait until the game drops or a day before to hear any takes on how the online works.

Firefox should just include an add-on for french-based installs that blocks those sites with explicit french instructions for how to uninstall it and a link to their petition and any public phone numbers of high profile french politicians. Effectively, they should protest the decision by making it something users can opt out of while also making sure users who don't like it complain to the people in charge of their country.
Ahh crap.
What's the best no nonsense alternative?
Won't be able to do much, and even if you can do some stuff you have to keep on mind that the energy efficiency would be poor enough that you'd still be better off with a cheap pi from a cost perspective.
People say use a vpn, but it seems to me like most vpns don't allow torrenting.
Really wish this game had controller support. I want to try it on the steam deck but only community bindings are available!
Do you have a source for this? That's interesting but I can't find the origin of this story.
I feel like a lot of communities could use a few more moderators here and there. Thankfully the spam hasn't been too bad to be noticeable now, but I feel like there'll be an inflection point where the userbase will far outnumber the moderators on certain magazines.
Original creator was only involved in the "first season", all the way back in 2000. Two new seasons were made in the 2010s when adult swim decided they needed to "bring it back" with a completely new director and animation studio. It wasn't good, and now they're committing to two more new seasons.
Most of us agree that all the follow up seasons are non-cannon and a mess. It distracts from what a good series the original 6-episode OVA was.

👀👀 Well, did it?!
For random sidebar posts from non-local instances, it would be nice to add a bit of a delay where image posts won't show up there until 1 hour or so after the post? That would give time for instance moderators to do their thing perhaps.
Because people on mastodon don't feel "captive" to the corporate social media feed and are free to engage however they want.
They blame the people for how hostile their platforms are, but all the while feed us only content that makes us angry or upset -- so yeah, it's not a surprise that the platform is a cesspool when they're the ones stirring the shit in the first place to keep engagement high.
