20 years? Nah, you were doing something wrong, had bad teachers or were in a bad area for piano
I spend a lot of time around classical music and competitions and the key determining factors for the kids who win them are overwhelmingly money and getting linked up with the right teachers
My partner gets students whose teachers completely failed them and they have to be rebuilt up. The teachers are probably good people but not great at teaching
I dont think people are really that different to where aptitude is the make or break factor.
Also if it were just some innate shit we had we'd see american cracker kids pick up indian classical music or cricket and be gods at it, does not woek like that
Also, lol explain to me why these classical competitions Bach, Tchaikovsky, all of the participants are rich kids.
Im of the mind that if you really want it its irrelevant but at the highest levels its crowded by rich people, i think a better discussion to have is what makes people want it so bad and how money affects people who have the same passion for music
We also noticed that there are different kinds of rich white parents who drastically alter their kids perspective, attitude and outcomes. Rich babying liberal types usually have garbage kids for example
