I use(d) Pinterest to collect fan-dom stuff and wallpapers. Each board for a movie, series, anime or game.

Nowadays I just search for a wallpaper and hope it isn’t AI, download it and leave the platform again. There’s no use on actually using the platform for what its intended (pinning, saving and sharing). Almost anything you do gets flagged by their AI bot for “inappropriate, adult or violence”.

I mean, they flagged a plant as “adult” content and smiling Luffy face as “violence”. Oh I forgot, their platform is just one giant advertisement crap now. 3/4 of the screen will be taken up by a video/gif of an advertisement.

Never tried it but I’m worried that they (too) will use AI for moderating and all that. AI as moderator for deleting, flagging and stuff is a bad idea.

Just look at Pinterest’s mess with AI that removes pins and ban accounts for no reason.

I’ll probably wait when Digg is rebooted and see how the early-adopters write about their experiences.

I have been searching for one, for a year or two. Ever since they keep removing pins for the most mundane things or literal no actual reason.

Yeah, I got that one too. I just immediately blocked the account and gave it no thought.

I LOVE the new design and for me it’ll replace Voyager (for now).

I actually had this issue months ago, I kept seeing everything on Instagram regarding a particular major problem. Seeing the deaths of innocents and the governments cheering it on just made me angry, moody, anxious and an immense hate towards humanity in general.

I was also jobless in these months (glad got work now) and that made it worse.

Eventually I heavily restricted myself;

  • Only 30 mins of scroll in Instagram, checking the news and such.
  • No talks about politics for at least a month.
  • Read more books to dive in.
  • Play fun games (Mario Wonder, Captain Toad Tracker, Mario kart and Catherine Full Body).

Got a job now but I still keep most of the things I restricted myself. Despite everything, I’m in a much better mindset than before.

I’m planning to watch this one, got told it’s quite good.

Oh yeah, lets do that and see that everything going into chaos.

Pinterest lets their AI do checks on pins and totally (non violated ToS) images get deleted. Accounts getting permanent banned because their AI claims images are violating their ToS (I guess plants and houses are violent).

What could go wrong, nothing eh? /sarcasm.

It’s one of their business models, so of course they do. Sony, Xbox and Epic Games.

I don’t like it either but that’s the current world we live in and until majority stop purchasing the exclusives, they will keep doing it.

[–] ModernRisk 0 points 5 months ago (3 children)

My point is; there are more platforms that do exclusives.

Sony sucks, using your money to try and buy exclusives is toxic garbage behavior, they deserve any criticism and troubles they come across.

I understand that exclusivity on games can be shit but if, I remember well lots of PlayStation games are already on PC (spider man, last of us and ghost of Tsushima) and steller blade will be soon too.

Not only that, Xbox and Nintendo have exclusives too. Not to forget about Epic Games and their exclusive deals.

I, unfortunately, have to agree and that’s why - most of the times, I just check Lemmy posts through RSS-Feed.

I sometimes hop onto Voyager and comment on posts/ articles. But the more hostile, twisting of words and such are happening. The less I will be using Voyager to comment and just use the RSS-Feed to see the posts.

I really liked Lemmy in the early days when people went from Reddit to Lemmy. Miss those times.
