I know they won't. Some of them genuinely do want to avoid politics and the puppy kisses smothering a shit take gets and it's totally understandable. For the others they thrive on berdly-smug posting their feigned offense at being told theyre wrong. It's like dozens of ben shaliros

I saw so many bad faith trolls saying they'd block this instance. Would love to keep track of them and toss that quote back at them when they're still repeating their shit takes if the feature ever becomes available.

Megathreads, or just a good popular post in related popular communities can work pretty well until there is enough traction to warrant its own community. A lot of subreddits arose because half the posts in a sub became what was previously a fringe topic of the parent.
