Didn’t get to watch

Same. Side note, both of my orange teams are playing in Florida today. Hopefully the other one wins their game too! Glad the Roadrunners took home the W.

Let’s go Briningstool, hell of a TD catch!

Still surprises me that we have a passing game. Elliott/Streeter have left me scarred.

Solid 4th down stop by the Tiger defense

Surprised that no one is in this thread for a potential Upset Alert.

Also, obligatory #FireTonyElliott

Tony Elliott with the super rare 1-5 team takedown of a top 10 team on the road. Fade UNC in the banner!

Another fumble, although Shipley was able to pick it up. Also, I’m surprised that we actually made a field goal!

That was definitely a safety, I don’t see how that play stood.

Honestly just kneel it out and make some halftime adjustments.

O/U on Clemson turnovers this game? I’m thinking 5, taking the over.

Maddox Kopp — a quarterback who started the Buffaloes' last game in 2022 — was in the front row last December, among those suddenly told their services were no longer needed by Coach Prime. He and dozens of his teammates were basically told to transfer elsewhere so Sanders had room for his "Louis."

But after transferring to Miami (Ohio), Kopp has become the latest waiver warrior in a controversial transition of another kind. Kopp was recently denied a waiver request by the NCAA to transfer a second time as he sought immediate eligibility with the RedHawks. He began his career at Houston in 2021 as a three-star prospect. Kopp then transferred to CU in January 2022.

[The] NCAA ruled he couldn't play right away at Miami (Ohio). The quarterback, his family and their attorney sought a waiver citing learning disabilities and a "totality of circumstances including runoff and public and private statements made by the head coach," that attorney, Jason Montgomery, told CBS Sports.

Colorado State coach Jay Norvell is adding fuel to the fire for Saturday's rivalry game against Colorado. During a recent appearance on his coach's show, Norvell took a shot at Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders, who frequently wears a hat and sunglasses to press conferences.

"I don't care if they hear it in Boulder: I told them, I took my hat off and I took my glasses off and I said, 'When I talk to grownups, I take my hat and my glasses off,'" Norvell said. "That's what my mother taught me."

Of course, a follow-up question should have been asked if visors count as hats — something Norvell frequently wears to his press conferences.

Kansas City Chiefs at Jacksonville Jaguars (+3)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

This is a tough road game for Kansas City after not playing well in the opener. They will have Chris Jones back, and that matters. The Jaguars had problems on the interior of the offensive line last week, which is big against Jones. But I think Trevor Lawrence and the offense will play much better than a week ago. This is a shootout. Jaguars win a close one.

Pick: Jaguars 31, Chiefs 30

RAT POISON

But also, TLaw is him. DUUUVAL!!

  1. Trevor Lawrence

The Jaguars got lots of preseason hype, and Lawrence delivered against the Colts, feeding picture-perfect throws to Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones in key spots. He could easily be the NFL's smoothest pocket passer this side of Burrow. (+2)

USC coach Lincoln Riley revealed that his family needed armed security after he announced plans to leave Oklahoma in November of 2021. In an interview on the YouTube series "In Depth with Graham Bensinger," Riley said there were multiple security incidents that put his family at risk.

Riley was announced as USC's coach on Nov. 28, 2021, the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The original plan, according to Riley, was to let his two daughters — who were nine and five at the time — finish out the fall semester before moving them to Los Angeles. After the break-ins and a handful of other incidents, Riley decided he had to "get them out of here" as fast as possible.

Quarterback Stetson Bennett's journey to the NFL has been anything but linear. He went from Georgia walk-on to transferring to junior college, transferring back to Georgia and then helping lead the Bulldogs to consecutive College Football Playoff national championships in the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Bennett, a 2022 Heisman Trophy finalist, did enough in his senior season at Georgia to be selected 128th overall, in the fourth round, of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Now, his professional football journey is on pause as the Rams placed him on the reserve/non-football injury list Wednesday. That means he is not suiting up with the team for an undisclosed reason, not involving an injury on the field. Rams head coach Sean McVay refused to get into any specifics about Bennett's situation at his press conference on Wednesday.

Former NFL wide receiver Mike Williams has died after being involved in a construction site accident last week, the Buccaneers announced. He was 36 years old.

A native of Buffalo, New York, Williams was drafted by the Buccaneers in the fourth round (No. 101 overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft. He is perhaps best known for his rookie season with Tampa Bay, when he led the team with 65 catches for 964 yards and a then-franchise-record 11 touchdowns.

Texas Tech‘s first ever 5-star recruit. Committed yesterday but I forgot to post the article.

Kyle McCord is officially Ohio State's starting quarterback. Buckeyes coach Ryan Day announced during his Monday press conference that McCord will be first off the bench for the rest of the year, edging out sophomore Devin Brown for the job. Brown and McCord were locked in a competition that extended through the first two games of the season, but evidently McCord's experience and comfort with the offense won out.

Clemson had a pair of starters miss Saturday’s game against Charleston Southern as safety Andrew Mukuba and receiver Cole Turner were held out with injuries. Swinney shared that Mukuba is “day-to-day but doing good,” while Turner will be back this weekend when Clemson hosts FAU.

In addition to getting back Turner, Clemson will also have freshman receiver Tink Kelley available against the Owls. Kelley has yet to play in a game this season and the plan is for Clemson to redshirt him.

[Defensive lineman Vic] Burley has also yet to appear in a game this season, but unlike Kelley, the plan is for Burley to avoid a redshirt and be a regular contributor for the Tigers.

“[Burley’s] back. He’s back in practice this week. We’ll see how he does today and tomorrow,” Swinney said. “Today will be full pads day and tomorrow will be a shells day, but he just got put back last night into practice. So we’ll see. He’s a guy we hope will be able to help us.”
