I am still not sure if Maduro really won the election, he seems to have had a lot of support. But also a lot of venezuelans that where against him. The US clearly has their regular motive of oil and exploitation in mind, so I would also rather fake an election win than give those bastards free reign over my country.

Its not about privacy or data collection they already forced TikTok to use us based servers of a us company, which by law has to give the government any data without notifying the user. Its purely about control an censorship. Also why would they allow fair competition in the free market.
