Days Gone is well designed and balanced. The map isn't overly large. If you just follow the quests you pretty much go everywhere anyway. I highly recommend you just give it a go. It's a great game!

Obviously, there's an upper limit to it, and I think they've hit it as no six blade heads have come out that I know of.

According to Wikipedia there are 6 and 7 blade razors in South Korea

I loved Obra Dinn. If you like that you will probably also like "Case of the Golden Idol" and it's successor.

No, CGA had multiple color modes. It could only display four at a time, but there were a few palettes to choose from. Of course, some hackers went waaay beyond and made it do 1K colors: https://int10h.org/blog/2015/04/cga-in-1024-colors-new-mode-illustrated/

It's not a crazy idea. But it's also perfectly reasonable for the game publisher to not involve themselves with mods.

Yup, so they know how to fix this! Makes me wonder why they didn't. Not enough time? Or does the base decay mechanic also have downsides that would work poorly with Dune?

Conan Exiles too

Why would it be in-game or a steam announcement? The malware was in a mod, not the base game. Mod authors can't post game announcements. So, at best you get a comment of the workshop or on nexus.

Holding on to your goals is hard when you owe loan sharks half a billion dollars and they want their payday

Enshittification is not driven by the founders (mostly, fuck Zuckerberg). It's driven by greedy investors who want their billion dollar unicorn payout and who who will risk a hundred company failures to get it.

A lot of tech companies that manage to resist outside investors are doing just fine.

This is really cool. Thank you!

I'd wager that a lot of these could be profitable, just not profitable enough. Investors don't want solid slow and steady business. They want billion dollar unicorns.
