I’m at the point where I think all bot accounts need to just be banned from Lemmy. If we’re trying to build engagement, a constant stream of reposts or a straight up rss feed is not helping.

Is that why the text they wrote was so disturbing to read? Have they lived in an echo chamber for so long that they think it’s okay to talk about a person like they’re a cadaver. F’ing creepy

I will say it’s nice that this instance isn’t drawing lines along political leanings so I can just block the ones I don’t like to see. I’m not sure what the admins are doing otherwise.

I’m sure the users here will start bubbling up as having more of an appetite for one side or the other and other instances will start defeding from infosec.pub.

Honestly there is so much drama related to federating or defederating that’s it’s killing my interest in Lemmy in general.

In anycase, is anyone running into trouble with lemmygrad or exploading heads being federated? I’ve been reading that folks at hexbear are getting harassed by other Lemmy instances and there are discussions of them going full defederated as a result. I don’t like the views on exploadingheads but so far I just block and move on, so no harm done.

I think it’s a pixel thing, but I get around this by going into the app background thing then press “select” so the phone can treat the screen as an image with text and just list out the text without any website or browser shenanigans interfering.

The original TwoXchromosomes on reddit was very welcoming to all women, not just what you consider a biological woman as there is no such thing as a "biological woman". That's a term made up by bigots to belittle anyone who didn't meet their narrow-minded definition of what a woman is.

It was an interesting show in the first season but less so if you watched it after 2016. And wow did the ending make the rest of the show feel dumb. I don't think I've seen many finales that retroactively made the series worse.

This feels like me, especially when I have six different splits in a full screen terminal screen between vim and tmux and someone asks how I'm doing that.
