The site's entirely user funded, if people use it and don't give, it'll go under.

Hmmm, now that I think about it I've only tried in Jerboa. I'll check in the Web browser and report back.

Edit: not seeing any issues like that, how interesting.

This makes a lot of sense and the transparency is refreshing to see :)

Glad to be here!

I'm not very creative, I cycled reddit accounts every few years and just had '(word)reddit(year)' or some other permutation of that format. I guess this name is a little bit better

I do miss being able to refresh the front page and almost always having new content, but it's caused me to make more of an effort engaging. I hope that people give this platform a chance and that things don't die off.

Until everyone starts doing it, Oracle can be...fun to deal with

Coming from the land of IPV4 networks I struggle so much to wrap my head around this, do you have any suggestions for good resources to learn about it?

Be the change you want to see! In one week I've made more comments on here than the last two years on Reddit. If the communities you want don't exist, start them up and post the type of content you'd like to see.

I'm not going back, I only used Reddit because it is what I was used to. I've given Lemmy a real chance and greatly prefer it now.
