I agree, it seems the owner of shit just works is one of those "free speech absolutist" types. It's a plague here, and the worst part is that they NEVER actually believe in 100% absolute free speech. They almost universally want some leftists speech censored, but never nazis.
Boi that oriole wanted to fuck and instead all he found was a big human
You blue balled the poor guy
Car insurance companies are literally allowed to discriminate by sex and will openly tell you that they do so, why would health insurance be different?
Textra for SMSwhich is almost all of my messaging out side of...
Discord. My friends and I constantly use the discord we created and that's how I communicate with most of them.
I want to get my fiancee/close friends on signal because it's encrypted but haven't been able to convince them
I certainly won't that's for sure. I'm a current infinity user.
Man Jesus must have the thinnest skin of tall time if he literally condemns people to eternal damnation for mocking him even once
I think instance owners need to be able to block specific communities in other instances instance-wide.
So, if lemmy.ml wants to block c/the Donald!sh.itjust.works they should be able to block that community for all users of lemmy.ml, but not the rest of the sh.itjust works instance.
Best of both worlds IMO
Excellent work!
To be clear I'm definitely using less TP, but my point is that I still have to use it- and a lot of times when posts about bidets come up, they're talked about as a 100% replacement to TP, which they aren't.
Usually if it hasn't gotten everything I just run it longer and with a bit stronger flow.
Hopefully he'll do both
It pisses me off that 6 ultra-wealthy people disappear in a sub that they got in FOR FUCKING FUN turns into an international story and caused taxpayer dollars from multiple countries to go into searching for them. Even though, once again, this was entirely optional for them and they knew the risks going in, and in fact paid for those risks. It's been the focus of a large part of the internet for 2 days now, and the news won't shut up about it.
Meanwhile, a boat carrying hundreds of migrants crashed 3 days ago, HUNDREDS of people are dead, and the news treats it as a footnote. It isn't getting talked about by half the threads on reddit and lemmy. Nobody is posting long, concerned posts about how it's "so awful" people are talking poorly about the migrants. Those people were trying to get a better life and they just get ignored, but some dude decides he wants to pay 500k to take his son to the fucking titanic because that seems cool and suddenly it's an I ternational search and rescue effort at the bottom of the goddamn ocean
It's really frustrating how much blatantly AI-written shit is at the top of every Google search nowadays.
Like, you Google "how to install a door" and you find an article that's like
"Here's how you install a door. Installing a door is really easy when you know how This guide will tell you how to install a door on ten easy steps. The first step in installing your door is to pick a door at the store." It repeats the title of the article everyother damn sentence, and takes FOREVER to get to a useful point. And sometimes they give flat out incorrect advice.
Then, you check the urland it's something like "techbuiz.com" and you've never even heard of this shit before, why the hellisit the top indexed result?
This isn't a problem to do with the reddit blackout at all, it's the enshittification of Google algorithm. They sell those top slots to the highest bidder, it's no longer about who actually has relevant information about the thing you searched for, it's about who had just enough matching keywords AND gave Google money to put up top.
Of course Google blames other sites, like reddit. It makes up all kinds of bullshit to obfuscate what they are doing, and sin e they have a proprietary algorithm nobody can prove that they are doing what I described above. But it's so blatantly obvious that they are that it's nearly insulting that they keep pretending they aren't.
