My two cents on the matter is that, yes he had every right to open carry at that protest, but just like that one weirdo who open carried an AR at the Georgia(?) airport years ago, it’s a shitty thing to do. Granted, that guy never caused a shooting, but it’s the same to me. This country has a gun fetish, it’s that simple. Actually repealing the 2a is a non-starter and instead we need to focus on just how gross it is culturally.

About 6 months ago, legislation was passed mandating tiktok be sold to an american company. Biden signed the legislation but declined to force the sale, Trump has continued to not enforce the sale while adding his dramatic flair and likely looking for kickbacks as well. Basically no one is willing to take the massive hit that would come from actually enforcing the ban.
Meanwhile my dad lives in one of the few yellow spots on the map, so I get to hear about how it’s just a matter of not raking the forests, really not that bad.

Saw two shooting stars pop up while watching the comet last night, one of them showed up in the exposure I was taking at the time.

I swear, this country has one party of ‘no regerts’ and one party of ‘in hindsight it was the wrong choice.’ Really great that you see the mistake, but you keep making it.
