-umm I think, well maybe it wasn't Russia who blew up their own multi-billion € pipelines? Maybe Biden had something to do with it, since Biden said "If Russia invades... again, then there will be longer Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it." Maybe the US is involved somehow?

-what?!?! straight to jail

Listen, when it comes to Amerikkkan bullshit electoralism, you must choose the lesser evil. You have to be pragmatic! My utilitarian calculation says you should vote blue no matter who. maybe-later-kiddo

When it comes to nuclear brinkmanship, then doing diplomacy is literally Chamberlain 1938 and you have to make a principled stance even though the whole Earth might die in nuclear hellfire.
That's a price liberals are willing to pay. Negotiating with Putin is weak. You should never compromise, no matter how many Ukrainians are sent to the meat grinder, even if nuking the whole planet is a real possibility.

Yes, liberals are the adults in the room

I wonder what maybe-later-kiddo is thinking right now. Did they manage to push Biden left? Did the Americans have a good and honest discussion about dismantling the two-party system?

Pre-AI print media becomes even more precious... in the next decades the AI slop will be everywhere including actual books. Truly a boring dystopia. Makes me sad & angry & frustrated. I also should buy more Art books... but they're expensive...

The budget must be balanced. The markets need to be sated. We must heal the economy. Your nan has to be sacrificed.

Were the justifications of austerity always this self-evidently wrong?

Yes.
But usually they also use the subterfuge of comparing a sovereign nations budget to a household's finances. "If you're family is in debt, you have to cut spending. That is why nan needs to die in the cold. It's basic economics. There is no alternative. The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. " margaret-thatcher

wow it came as a complete surprise that Keir Starmer wants to employ austerity measures
Who would've taught, that Keir Starmer (of all people!), the person who waged war on social democrats, is a Thatcherite? wow

“We are taking the tough decisions now so we can fix the foundations and deliver on the mandate of change we were elected on to rebuild Britain.”

Remind me quick, what kind of economic policies they used after WW2 to literally rebuild Britain?

The West even had a whole-ass peace conference without Russia, but Biden didn't RSVP because even they realized it's a joke

It is so absurd that shitlibs argue for voting for the lesser evil, but then they literally cheer and clap for it.

There was a slight disillusionment among libs when the Biden/Trump debate happened, but now they all literally cheer for the same ghouls and literally plug their ears when you try to remind them of the genocide that is still happening.

Lesser evilism is stupid anyway, the whole point is that they are both evil... but then they cheer?! They don't even pretend that the DNC is evil. Even the speeches were militaristic. At least Jon Stewart kinda made fun of them, just a tiny bit. He wouldn't play the video of the libs plugging their ears.

It's almost like lesser evilism is not sincere, but sophistry in order to get the left to cooperate with establishment parties.

We always jest about jokerifying moments, but this is clearly one of those. After you've seen it you can't unsee it.
