I've had some incarnon weapons skip an unlocking step and they have the same bug, but I don't think it actually affects their stats. If you can, I'd say just ignore it?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

Oh yeah I know it's powerful, I just think challenge is barely a thing in WF anyway so if I play something, it also has to be fun and synergetic a bit. I made the build and will try playing her a bit, always good to have it for archimedea as you said.

Well that's kinda lame then 😐. I might as well play some other frame with interesting abilities and use a regular weapon with melee influence then. Nova for example seems to outshine her in every way

I loved Gara when she first came out but found it a bit too annoying maintaining Splinter Storm stacks. I should revisit her, anyone got a good build to recommend?

This one might be too paranoid about running out of energy and losing the stacks, and I dunno if Shattered Storm augment is mandatory nowadays? In that case, maybe a health tank instead, sth boring and reliable like this?

Also, what about building shattered lash? Is it worth going for Doughty or do people only use the arcing damage slash which isn't affected by it? Worth building up the combo counter for weeping wounds / blood rush?

It's hard to tell because in actual 1999 missions everything kinda explodes right away anyway but the 2nd blast build (with removed serration and added crit mods) seems to perform better. Crux definitely makes it feel better due to ammo efficiency, and the blast is extremely easy to stack up resulting in area clears as expected, so in missions where you don't need single target damage and it's easy enough to even accidentally hit a weakpoint... it's not that bad at all. I also replaced critical delay with galvanized scope as recommended, aiming down sights is annoying but really worth it in the end

Without serration you really need a primer, either from wf abilities or companion and at that point anything will kill too so i dunno how flexible it really is, could be just carried by other mechanics at this point.

edit: I just tried bassocyst - well, you can read all of this above or you can just take the improved arca plasmor and press LMB to vaporize everything in front of you in a second. I'm not even done with formaing it and it's clearing every mission better than my other primaries. The alt attack doesn't seem to be worth using but the basic attack modded for crit, blast and fire rate is just bonkers

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (3 children)

This is my crit and this is my blast. One flex slot / dont have enough forma yet to fit sth there. I guess I can fit elementalist in the crit build but it has pretty low status chance without crux, but im not sure what i can drop in the blast build to fit 2 crit mods.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago (5 children)

Ehh, seems nicher and nicher. Its a crit powerhouse but i'm not really sold on the blast build since there aren't just enough mod slots to focus on both crit and status, and innate corrosive dilutes the status effects, and invisibilty for crepuscular is annoying to maintain in most cases.

I much prefer glax but then again I only use it on frost and citrine, feels like it has good synergy there. Maybe synapse is the same for cyte

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (8 children)

Only got synapse so far due to the good base elemental dmg value offer, I am kinda whelmed so far. It has good punch through but no chaining on the beam so it still feels like a single target weapon. The unique gives bonus dmg on headshot that is hard to utilize with it, especially if you go for a status build with crux, but I imagine the way to go with be crit due to good base stats for it (well, except damage), possibly with acuity, maybe its multiplicative with the unique effect? I'm pretty bad at this buildcraft lol

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Disappointed to hear that the best options are the usual helminth suspects, at that point I might as well just play baruuk for sth that will feel more cohesive... or even atlas perhaps who is allegedly stupid broken atm

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (4 children)

Damage seems great but what do you guys do for survivability? No inherent health restore or DR, spamming blind isnt really a reliable thing, Im not sure how to play him at higher lvl missions when there's a ton of aoe or random dmg everywhere

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

They get me hyped for every update without fail, it's just better and better. I love the visuals and cosmetics, I love that we're getting a new archimedea mode, can't wait for liches and the new valence system...

Is it all coming out on march 19th? It's gonna be huge

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

smh they gave us purple yennifer and we can't date her either, what are they even doing???

I was also surprised a bit that they made nova basically a kid but I guess it does kinda work in the end

(i dont mind it that much, I like that they have the established plot. the romance boils down to repetitive lines of dialogue at home anyway so w/e)

Spend your tokens or grind more for the arcanes you're missing before that day!

Speaking of... which arcanes are you getting / are worth getting? Arcane Velocity is a must-get considering how useful it is for some builds and (relatively) cheap in terms of event tokens, right?

Anything else you want to give a shout-out to?

I've recently noticed some melee builds that revolve around heavy slams, I was wondering if you folks can share your experience with them and help me decide whether they are fun and worth investing into them.

I guess the top contenders are Samptones and Sancti Magistar incarnon, but there's also mention of Fragor and Arca Titron. Any of you got experience with these builds, is it a gimmick or not?

I've mostly been using Okina recently and Azothane before that so I want to spice it up a bit with something different for a change. They'd be for general use in any missions, from relic cracking to 1999 bounties, etc.

Molecular Fission seems like a great QoL mod to have but I can't think of anything to remove to make space for it. Anyone got any ideas on what I should change about this build, or do I just go on recasting #1 manually?

Also, bonus question - are there any weapons that are fun to use with nova, have some special synergy, complement the abilities well or sth like that?

I've been procrastinating obtaining these for years but now I'm thinking that I'm missing out. I was hoping someone needs any mods from syndicates I'm friendly with and would like to exchange some.

I am negative with New Loka / Perrin Sequence so I'm offering any syndicate mods (or other items) from the other 4 syndicates in exchange. I'm missing 13 mods from Loka, not sure if there are any unique ones in Perrin.

Can be available in afternoons, central EU timezone

I just took anything synergizing with cold damage and put it on Frost and it works pretty well!

Frost

  • Biting Frost augment
  • Arcane Ice Storm
  • Freeze Force augment
  • Icy Avalanche ofc

Tenet Glaxion

  • Shivering Contagion
  • Primary Frostbite arcane
  • Photon Overcharge (still missing this one but soon I'm adding it too)

Glaxion melts everything in front of you, spreads cold like crazy which also adds ability strength and duration due to arcane ice storm, you have huge crit chance and dmg, you have excellent armor strip and can easily generate overguard.

Since no merciless on glaxion you have to run serration but if I had max rank arachne I'd maybe try that instead of arcane grace once I have photon overcharge from NW. Am I missing anything else thats fun and that could be added to the mix?

Not sure if I should go with vile acceleration on glaxion or maybe add something like hunter munitions or bladed rounds instead.

In any case, it takes a bit to set up the whole build but it feels very thematic and flexible, Frost really becomes even more of a powerhouse with it, I only ever used him for his bubble until now.

edit: I'm also thinking about what to subsume over his #2 since it seems kinda useless, it is low damage and you have plenty of cold procs even without it. Nourish might be the boring but safe option?

The entrati armcannon doesn't really seem to live up to its hype - the normal fire is just slow rifle-like fire with no aoe or punch through and the incarnon mode seems to be a big short lived beam with low damage, short range and width, and can only fire a few times before running out of charge.

Am I missing something, like how to build it, or is it really underwhelming?

It's busted as hell but I really like it. It's a simple change in the overall gameplay but having to look out for this quick popup and being rewarded with a free heavy attack is such a neat addition to the experience.

I've pretty much switched to Naramon on all frames because of it.

For example the new grimoire needs to kill enemies in order to proc its bonus. Trumna needs to kill enemies to get alt-fire charges. You need to land the killing blow to proc Merciless.

For those who don't know, the Wyrd Scythes+Doom combo places a mark on enemies that gathers/stores damage for a few seconds and when that damage exceeds the enemy's remaining HP, it triggers and kills them with true damage.

If you're playing Dagath and using your doom abilities, are you inadvertently kill-stealing and making it impossible for your allies to complete these on-kill challenges? Or for that matter even for yourself?

I really like her abilities but to be completely honest I haven't figured out what kind of a build to go for on her. Damage seems good even if you just spam and spread doom around, #4 is a really good "ohshit" button when you find a large group of enemies that need killing, but her survivability seems a bit low, she doesn't have any damage reduction or even healing abilities by default (and low base armor value as well). She seems overall solid but doesn't really excel in anything and doesn't do anything extraordinarily fun?

I kinda mitigated the low defense with a few blue armor archon shards, as for healing her signature melee weapon can restore health but it seems like bad synergy - her #3 boosts crit weapons but her Dorrclave is a status weapon? So that seems like a trap.

Adaptation, arcane grace and her #3 lifeguard do a lot of heavy lifting but all in all, it doesn't seem as reliable as other frames. Maybe subsuming gloom would help but I'm not sure what to replace, and that's kind of a boring thing to do anyway.

So anyway, any thoughts, how have you been playing Dagath so far?

Now that we're not locked into 1 or 2 companions that can't die, we can finally start using them to fill the gaps in our warframe's arsenal! Did you find any good uses like that yet?

Looks like Helios is a pretty good armorstrip bot now, combining the Deconstructor with Vicious Bond.

Dethcube seems like a good fit on energy starved warframes thanks to its energy (orb) generator, possibly combined with Duplex Bond? Dunno if companion weapons ever get strong enough to kill high level enemies on their own though

I was thinking about trying out a Chesa for survival missions when you don't have a Nekros but I dunno if Retrieve helps at all since it only fires off every 10 seconds with a 45% chance of success

What kind of stuff have you tried?

I guess now it just went from a subtle funny nod to actual canonical lore 😁
