I made the Android community because the power tripping Reddit mods banned me lol.

Just added it to the bottom of the post. Thank you!

The biggest problem is the fact they beg for donations and the wording makes it seem like they are about to shut down unless you donate right now. They are disingenuous.

No one said having reserve funds is bad, so please don't put words in my mouth. Just don't act like you're about to shut down Wikipedia to get more money when you literally have millions in reserve. It's scummy.

If you're interested, I can put this in the stickied thread on [email protected]

About your first point, I've heard that Wikipedia is actually very wealthy and doesn't need the money. They essentially run a scam every year asking for more.

iOS users turn that off because it's "aesthetic". Not sure if that's the situation here, but it's so annoying lol.

I don't mind them at all when it comes to functionality. In fact, I find it easier to do the swipe to open sidebars and stuff.

However, screen protectors are super expensive and require UV glue to adhere them. They are such a pain in the ass to apply, and you think thrice about replacing them due to scratches because of how expensive they are.

Flat screen phones have a pack of 3 for $15, and they take 60 seconds to apply. When they get slightly scratched, it's easy to spend $5 for a new one. Whereas the curved ones are $15+ each.

My 7 pro is rocking no screen protector because of how annoying and shitty it was for me to put them on my 6 pro.

Mods of anything to do with Apple should be in most support. Spez specifically came after the developer of the most popular iOS app.

I guess they don't care as long as they can still put that they moderate a popular Apple subreddit on their resume lol

Every other phone is full of garbage bloatware that is not easily uninstalled from the worse companies, like Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft.

Other companies promise updates, but you're waiting months if not years (or even never) for them.

and most importantly, every other phone I have used is super laggy or stuttery. Even though the Pixel 6/7 have lesser specs than the S22 Ultra, the S22 Ultra performed terribly compared to my 6 Pro (I now have a 7 Pro).

I posted a comment on Lemmy about my experience with my S22 Ultra and how it was filled with ads, despite it costing $2000 CAD ($700 MORE than the Pixel 6/7 Pro) and being an unlocked model.

I was banned from /r/Android because I prefer a Google Pixel over a Samsung device (yay, corrupt mods!)

I forgot, and I commented using one of my many alts. I was temporarily suspended from Reddit as a whole for “ban evasion”.

My friends visited, who have Reddit accounts, and when they connected to my WiFi Reddit immediately perma-banned ALL of us, including all of my brand accounts for my company for "continuous ban evasion", despite me not posting anything from any of my accounts.
