Reddit is going crazy because they are calling him a millionaire. I'm sorry, but making a million dollars over the past decade makes him paid less than a regular developer, and 1 million dollars can't even buy you a crack shack in Canada.

Remember, Canada is the most expensive place to live. We have the most expensive housing and internet/data plans in the entire world.

Think logically. Don't think like childish Redditors.

It's missing so much that iOS has. They've said they are releasing a rewritten app, but keep delaying it.

For example, there's no threaded email support on Android.

https://proton.me/blog/2022-roadmap

As discussed in the January update, Android will require more work as we are rewriting more of the application, with a big focus on performance and stability. This means some Android features you have requested for Mail are not in our immediate scope for delivery. In particular, conversation view (also known as threading view) won’t make it into the first version of the new Android app, but we hope to deliver it soon after release.

I hate this response.

Mojang also spies on your private server hosted on your own PC with your own internet playing with your own friends.

Mojang shouldn't get that kind of control. That's crazy.

Also, does Mojang require photo ID before they ban people for "slurs"? I'm not sure if a black person should get banned for saying the N word on their own private server.

Maybe if Mojang helps pay for my internet bill or my electricity bill they can have control over my private server. Until then, they can kindly screw off.

And the fact they've released patches specifically to block mods that remove chat reporting and nothing else goes to show how scummy they are.

Chat reporting should only be enabled on PUBLIC REALM servers hosted by Mojang. That's really the only place you can justify what they are doing.

People don't matter. Content matters.

If big content creators leave, you're going to have 450MM users sitting there looking at a blank screen.

I mean damn, my front page (not signed in) is so empty. I'm seeing the most random weird subreddits that I've never seen before, because there's no other content making it to the front page.

Companies like Mojang (Minecraft devs) pulled out of Reddit today, so now they'll have to wait for someone to repost all of the news, and have to go to different websites to report issues with the game. I'm sure other companies will eventually do the same.

Not to mention NSFW content is probably going to be really restricted or frowned upon, considering NSFW subs cannot be monitized. That pulls a TON of porn off the platform, which unsurprisingly amounts to a ton of users.

Is Reddit dead? No. But it's going to drop dramatically in quality. We haven't even hit July yet. Lots of people are going to be in for a rude awakening when their apps stop working. I know there's a large amount of people who are very ignorant to all of this, and don't even know their apps (and porn) are going to be gone July 1st.

Ya the only damage would be from the implosion and shrapnel. Everything else was sitting at the same pressure, so there's nothing really going on to cause damage.

It's weird seeing huge pieces that look relatively undamaged. Looks like you can just throw that frame with all the electronics in the spare parts bin and call it a day lol

LineageOS already uses their own version of these apps. They do not use AOSP Dialer or Messages.

No ROMs even use these apps. They all have their own forked version of a dialer and messages.

This doesn't matter. Literally every custom ROM comes with its own forked version of the AOSP dialer and messages.

This is a good thing. It's removing garbage bloat that no ROMs even use.

Paid plan adds really basic features other password managers offer for free. Like auto copying of 2FA codes.

Wouldn't be bad if I could just pay for it. The fact they are requiring me to upgrade to a different tier to do it is ridiculous. This model should be shunned hard.

I shouldn't have to upgrade to an entirely different tier to unlock access to a different Proton service. I should be able to just subscribe to it. Especially since Proton has removed previous tiers in the past, so who's to say if I no longer want Proton Pass that I can downgrade back to my previous tier?

Like ya, the business tier offers Pass Plus, Drive Plus, and VPN Plus, all of which I do not care about nor do I want. Stop bundling it together. Sell me Pass Plus separately.

Terrible, terrible system. I am honestly over the way they manage their company, and I really think about leaving their services for good. I'm sure when they release Proton Notes it'll be in beta for visionary customers for 3 years before trickling down to us plebs that only pay $150/month and even then it'll only be available on their business plan.

EDIT: actually it seems like they only offer 2FA on their paid plan in general.

EDIT 2: for those wondering, I have a mail essentials business plan customized to allow a bunch of custom domains. The fact I pay SO much just to have a handful of custom domains, but the rest of my account essentially gets the same features as a FREE Proton account is insane. I'd love to pay less and remove Proton VPN, since I literally never use it, as Mullvad is better and cheaper.

Why am I paying so much, but I am treated like a free user?
