"Can I ask you a question?" is a funny one. They already did, so what they are actually asking is if they can ask you ANOTHER question.

I don't like it when someone messages me and they start with only "hello" or "hi" without adding anything else. Especially if it's someone I don't know yet. Please give me something more to get the conversation going!

It's kinda interesting that the saying about cats having multiple lives is pretty much universal but then the amount differs. I wonder why that is

Come to think of it, I kinda do this IRL lol. During the summer months I maintain a full-body shave, like femboy style. But in winter I just trim down the most extensive grow. Mostly 'cause I’m lazy, but also because during the cold months my skin always gets super dry and itchy no matter how much lotion I use, and I don’t wanna make it worse by shaving.

I love how the dragon has a massive phone but it's still slightly too small for it. Must be hard to use that thing

Sadly Thinkpads no longer are what they used to be. I got the X1 Extreme Gen 5 couple of years back and have had all kinds of problems with it. Blue screens, problem with fans sometimes getting stuck at 100%, constant problems connecting to the dock, not to mention bad battery life... My coworker had to get a warranty replacement when the usb-c port stopped working without any apparent reason only after a month of use. And other coworkers with newer models are also reporting issues.

I played around a bit with the browser version and it seems to function just like Postman, just without all the cloud shit and monetization it has nowadays.

In addition to what others have already pointed out, please also note that mentioning any other account in a "private" message chain will allow that account to retroactively see all the messages in the chain.

Basically DMs in Mastodon are pretty useless.

Providing expiration notification emails means that we have to retain millions of email addresses connected to issuance records. As an organization that values privacy, removing this requirement is important to us.

I fully support the privacy argument (I didn't realize it has been mandatory to give some emai address to get a cert) but why not make it optional instead?

The reminder email from them has saved me once when originally "temporary" domain was not so temporary after all and I forgot to set up auto-renewal and monitoring for it.

If he's been a real bad boy, they might remove the backups too :3

You clearly have a system that works for you, not gonna argue against that.

I've only seen the "chaos version" of that. Like I go up to a coworker, they wanna show me something and then spend the following 30 seconds clicking through the tabs until they finally find the correct one.
