Name checks out

Wicked! I've only purchased Hanklights up until now, so a new brand would be very interesting!

? Worker protections don't prevent the employer from relocating. The US has become more of an oligarchy than ever, that's why the pigs at the top can move operations to states that are worse for their employees and get away with it, e.g. Tesla moving to Austin.

Correlation doesn't imply causation: people move to red states for work because employers flock to red states, e.g. caterpillar moving from MI to TX for fewer worker protections. Given the choice, everyone would choose better worker protections and union rights and therefore blue states, but us working class folks don't have the luxury of waiting around for the perfect job opportunity in a blue state.

Blue states always have the best consumer protections! We need more working class candidates to get all the establishment cronies out of office and protect Americans from exploitation from the oligarch class

Sure doesn't seem baseless. There's still a lot of anti-LGBTQ violence in the USA, and trans folks especially have been targeted at a federal level. Wouldn't blame 'em for wearing a plate or carrying a pack with a plate while they're armed

? Why decry gun ownership now? I thought the conservative party was about small government, fiscal responsibility, and the 2nd amendment?

Glad life is going better for you these days! I'm sure your kiddo is proud of you for moving on

Not in order, just quickly wrote these out:

  • Supreme Court term limits. Nobody should be above the law
  • More cost-effective public health insurance. Eliminate the middle-men and force big pharma to actually compete instead of robbing patients
  • Repeal citizen's united and force elections to be grassroots funded, no more corpo doners owning candidates and their platform
  • Federal gun control modeled after NY and VT laws with background checks, references required, magazine limits, and laws with real teeth for possessing illegal weapons (assault weapons banned)
  • Free tuition to federally funded secondary education institutions
  • Increase teacher and professor salaries at non-private schools & universities
  • Federal elections all vote by mail and voting required by law enforceable with a tax penalty and audit by IRS
  • end TurboTax and move to IRS version for all taxpayers making under $250K annually
  • Defund the police and use that budget to fund a new department of public responders that handle non-emergency situations
  • Invest in small modular nuclear reactors for base load power on the electric grid
  • Bodily autonomy enshrined in the constitution as an amendment

This sounds great! I like the idea of sticking with "new party" as the name, or we could also do something like the "working class party"

You're so right about KDE, I didn't realize just how much great stuff KDE makes until I was looking for a markdown editor this week at work, and KDE ghostwriter nails everything I ever wanted. Cross platform too so I can use it on my personal Linux machine too
