3833 stitches 🀯 That usually takes me between three weeks and a month depending on how many colour swaps there are. And that's stitching at least 3-4 hours a day!

So did I, then I decided to stop eating corpses and eat even more of these secretions. One chapter into Jesus Ed's book and I don't think I'm ever going back to this lifestyle.

People think I'm crazy and extreme for not participating but I enjoy my "frozen dessert" and "nut/seed drink" without feeling like having blood on my hands.

Happens all the time with mine. Some brands oxidize faster than others, I think it's the nickel content that does it. It doesn't stain but the oxide layer causes more friction so the needle doesn't glide as easily. I usually change them when they get to this point, never bothered cleaning them. Now that I think of it, it's kind of wasteful.

That reads like something straight out of five minute crafts. Has anyone tried making anything similar with realistic results?

On a similar note, many coffee brewing devices are made out of plastic. I bought a ceramic hario v60 for that exact reason, despite all sources claiming that plastic is safe and brews better. The aeropress is a different question. It's made of polypropylene and just now they made a glass version (which knowing me, I would break it within a week). I rarely brew in it partly because of it being plastic but brewing temperatures are between 80 and 92Β°C. Should I be worried?

So colourful! Also love the needle minder. I saw in another comment that you used to do railroading. Does it make a difference? I just stitch without a care in the world and it comes out alright at a pace I'm happy with. Some stitches appear tighter than others... But when washed, ironed and framed, it isn't exactly obvious.

At the end of 2017 a population of about 250 birds was estimated. They are regarded as "domestic" and thus protected from hunting.[26] In the autumn of 2018, the German population grew to 566 individuals,[27] and hunting of the birds was allowed; additionally, the population was reduced by destroying eggs during breeding season.[28]

I admit that, as an animal lover, this article was a rollercoaster but invasive species can wreak havoc on the local ecosystem.

I started with patterns and had a miserable experience because the first kits I got were on 26 count and labeled as "for children" or "beginner friendly" oof! Moving to printed ones saved my interest in the hobby but I get stressed out when the print doesn't match the aida. Now I'm back to patterns and buying my own threads and having a blast! Pattern keeper makes things even easier.

Meds really helped me with anxiety (Thank you trazodone) but for personal reasons I'm in the process of going med free. I too feel like I don't need them at the moment and I'm open to starting them again.

What changed is my diet and what I do with my free time. Going vegan made me reduce the junk food I consume to a minimum and helped me lose a little bit of weight. I'm a firm believer that eating more whole foods and less processed ones can impact depression and anxiety in a good way. My blood work showed that after supplementation I was on the low end of vitamin D levels so I've been deficient all this time. That can also manifest as anxiety.

For my free time I found a hobby that doesn't involve screen time. Social media, news, phones are overstimulating for me. Video games also disrupt my sleep and make me overexcited. I do cross stitching, my SO, also an anxiety sufferer found that gardening helps them a lot.

I'm new here and I'm not sure what defines simple living but I usually go by foot around town.

Distances are relatively short and it doesn't take long to walk around. The cities in my country are very walkable. When going out of town I prefer the (dilapidated) train network. With my discount card I can ride 400km in around 6 hours for as little as 10$. I'm terrified of driving and I don't want to bother with maintaining a car, not to mention the environmental impacts. If I really need a car when I'm overloaded with groceries, I order a cab but that's rare.
