How many times can you click the duck?

Hey guys!

So with the Jam ending, I decided to fix up a couple of things that were suggested to me. The number 1 thing was the html5 support in itch. The previous version was very quick and lacked the saving feature as it was completely glitching out. Good news! I fixed it.
Below there is the list of the new features.

Most Important Features:

  • HTML5 Support with saving
  • Removed the tooltip timer so that you don't have to wait for the tooltips to appear.
  • Balance Changes
  • Adding a bit more juice into the game
  • Adding a minimum amount of XP before prestiges
  • Fixed a bug with the Prestige not giving other gears
  • Added more upgrades (like Paper Polishing)

I hope you enjoy the new version, and that more people will be able to actually play it. I would like to hear your thoughts on the game in the comments of the itch page, and in the comments of this post.
The game is still very early in development, and before working on more content I would like to add more QoL if it is needed.

Thanks for reading and thanks for trying to game out if you actually do!

P.S. The next posts will be in the feedback thread, doing this one here due to the fact that a lot of people probably didn't even play because of the lack of saving in the game... which sucks in idle games.

I am so excited to finally be at this point. It took me 10 months and a full rebuild of the entire codebase but it's finally done, Incremental Factory, a factorio inspired incremental game, is releasing on Steam.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2449430/Incremental_Factory/

Compared to the web version this game is completely changed while retaining the core mechanics.

- New Buildings, Supply Chains & Progression Model

- Reworked entire UI/UX

- Added Node & Graph Based Factory

- Added Prestige Reset Mechanic with Skilltree, changing the dynamics of new playthroughs

- Removed Military & Trains to instead focus on the core loop first. But are already in development and will be added back again with further releases in the future

This was an insanely interesting journey and I put lots of love & energy into this game. Thank you to everyone who was part of this journey, this would have never been here if it wasnt for you!

I hope this will bring you joy and a good time & I am so looking forward to the future updates as this is really just the beginning :)

P.S. There is also a bundle with Plantera 2 available if you are looking for a good deal:

An incremental game based on Tour of Heroes with added RPG elements.

An addicting "Clicker-Looter" game where you defeat Thousands of monsters to loot equipment and get stronger, that can be as Relaxing or Frenetic as you like...

The top 5 of NYIGJ was...
5. Will It Press? by Barribob
4. Incrementally Dense Kittens by SoapieTomato
3. Gradation by Hexblue and Willybb
2. Under Pressure by VoidCloud
and the best game was BossMeAround by EvilBunnyMan!

Of course, there were more submissions than just those five, so make sure to check out the other results at https://itch.io/jam/nyigj-2024/results and play some of the lower ranked games if you haven't already.

Finally, I'd like to thank all the developers and raters that help make IGJ be what it is, and I hope to see you all next summer for SIGJ 2024! (also join the discord please)
