Hi everyone !

Posting very late this Saturday because I didn't want to post without a major update / progress in the game development, but I am now satisfied ;D (Test versions below in my itch link ! Its free to test)

Companions // Auto Skilling

You now have a few companions around you (a support, an archer, a smasher, and a pet, a 5th one will be a flying unit, work in progress),
Auto Skilling added,
Enable/Disable sound
Alot of bugfixes
Some QoL for gear,
A few bugfixes in the maze,

I hope the game to be release ready in 2 weeks !
I am very happy about any feedback positive or negative, it helped me a ton to make the game better every week !

PS : This game is the first of many I want to make, fully f2p without any power up IAPs, I want everyone to be able to compete, as opposed to most playstore/iOS store idle games we see out there,
Used sprites for the game are mostly from Ansimuz (itch) and Duelyst (open source game assets from that amazing pixel art game)

Itch link : https://mksidev.itch.io/idle-beast-hunter you will find there a TestFlight link, an apk to download from the website, and a discord link where you can check my daily progress (posting there every single day !)

Have a great weekend,

MksiDev

Hey fellow gamers and developers!

I'm on a journey, creating my third game, titled Reborn, and I'm searching for playtesters to dive into its early stages, provide valuable feedback, and help shape its future. There's still much that I'm working on, but the core gameplay loop of leveling up and progressing further is completed - just in need of balance adjustments based on your feedback.

Reborn is an Idle Roguelike RPG. Here's what you can expect:

Idle Gameplay: Perfect for multitaskers, Reborn plays on its own in the background. Focus on resource allocation, quest planning, and unraveling the mysteries of a quaint village without constant monitoring.

Roguelike Challenges: Embrace death as a part of your journey. Each demise strips you of your base inventory but not your experience, allowing you to grow stronger and delve deeper into the cave. You can store your inventory outside of the caves, so only take with you what you're willing to lose.

RPG Elements: Boost your stats with experience points earned. Early levels come cheap, but expect a steep climb as you progress. Craft gear, brew potions, and recruit companions to ease your grind.

60 Second Gameplay Demo: https://youtu.be/rRDUptbQblU

Core Mechanics:

Mouse & (Limited) Keyboard Support: While a desktop game, I wanted to challenge myself to make a game that could be played with only mouse clicks. There is still WASD/arrow movement for those that prefer it, but navigating and interacting can all be done with the click of a mouse.

Strategic Combat and Exploration: Engage in battles and find your way through a maze-like cave system. Victory brings you closer to the next challenge.

Progressive Gameplay: Utilize the Auto Battler for cleared floors, focusing your attention on new, uncharted levels when the time comes. Spend experience points in the Barracks to level up and become more formidable.

Upcoming Features:

Vibrant NPCs and Village Life: Interact with unique characters and upgrade your home. I have 19 NPCs in the village, all with intertwining relationships and dramas. Get to know them through what will be up to 100+ different dialogue options as you slowly unravel the mysteries of Reborn.

Quests and Potions: Embark on quests to earn some coin, and brew powerful potions using ingredients from your adventures.

Farming and Companions: Grow your own resources for more powerful brewing, and recruit creatures to aid in your quest in unique ways.

Join Our Discord:

I've started a dedicated Discord community where you can download the game, share your thoughts, and contribute to the development of Reborn. Your feedback is crucial in refining gameplay, balancing mechanics, and adding new, exciting features. If you're intrigued by the challenge, eager to contribute to a growing game, and enjoy delving into new worlds, Reborn is waiting for you. If you're interested in playing without joining the Discord, just DM me and I'll send you the download link for either PC or Mac.

Something about the endless scaling of incremental games just keeps the motivation high, its just nice to have endless ways of improvements, but I actually dont like Idle games anymore. I did for a long time, played a fuckton of them, favourites are Evolve Idle, incremancer, orb of creation. There rarely is any innovation, but with the right tools and already available mods you can incrementify some more action based games. Did with Skyrim, modpack with a thousand mods, wrote a little script that gives me an experience multiplier according to modded in difficulty sliders for taken and done damage, and i had an awesome experience(played with 0.04 multiplier of the dmg im doing and a x5 multiplier for the damage i receive at the end). Used everything from enai Siaions mods and had a lot of fun finding absurd combos, some of them so broken i had to forbid them, but thanks to the incremental scaling i put in there was never a point where i got to strong, or to tanky, if i noticed i got to powerful i just adjusted the sliders and where happy for a bit higher xp multiplicator.(you can read in my comments a few pages down of my escapades through skyrim, i wrote a lot exchanging some absurd strats with ordinator and co)

Yesterday i did the same with Hades, installed some mods, adjusted a little formula (which made me realize how much more i could do if i could actually program) and now i get exponentially more meta ressources depending on how much heat i take(the games difficulty system where you can choose from a list of negativ nerfs for your character or buffs to enemies, etc).

It feels like some games are really just made to be incrementified, Any of you ho ever done something like this? Do you know games that are somewhat easy to make into incrementals? If any of you have interest i can share the nexux pages of the mods i used with infos on which lines of code i changed up

>!What an amazing game (yeah I know it's been said to death).!<

Sad I'm at the end so curious what other games people would recommend like it?

&

Ideally ones with a whole host of different unlockable features where older ones get automated as you progress.

Hey there!

I'm Tobias and some of you might remember my first game Paragon Pioneers. The last 1.5 years I worked on the sequel and tried to take my city-building idle game to the next level. It feels not easy to make a second part as it will be compared to the first one a lot and as a solo developer you need to make compromises all the time. At least my alpha testers are very happy about it and I hope you will enjoy it, too! I totally revamped every system, added big features like regions, research, better graphics, scurrying inhabitants, difficulty levels, landscape mode, etc. and added tons of content, to keep you busy again for months.

It will be released on 11th March in the App Store, Play Store and Steam, so you can already pre-order, pre-register and wishlist it (funnily each store has its own term :) ). There will be of course a free demo on release as well, so if you're unsure, you can check it out first before decide to purchase.

Here is the new trailer (you might notice the first compromise): https://youtu.be/an-kPXOuX9Q
