Wat?
That is easily the dumbest thing I’ve read today.
Looking at your replies in this thread, it seems like you care more about this issue than I would bet the vast majority of actual iPhone users do. Going off on unwanted, unhinged rants for basically no reason and …what’s that phrase the kids are using these days, letting Apple live rent free in your head like that doesn’t seem like a particularly healthy or enjoyable way to live your life, but I guess if it works for you, so be it. Personally I’d like to never have to read another one of your rants on the topic again, but I guess that’s what the block button is for.
Maybe one of these days these idiots will figure out that being a mindless anti-fanboy is every bit as obnoxious as being a mindless fanboy in the first place, but I’m not holding my breath. Until then I’ll take my downvotes for pointing out simple facts like the badge of honor they are.
Good thing nobody is forcing you to buy an iPhone then.
Drop the condescending attitude please. I know all about RCS. I know all about Apple’s ecosystem and what they choose to allow on it. Compliance with standards is still a part of feature set I was referring to. Apple wants to lock people into their hardware and software. This is a known fact. You can like it or not, but there’s still more to the differences between green bubbles and blue ones and if you continue to act like there’s not then you’re the ignorant one in the conversation.
Except it’s not the color, it’s the feature set that the colors represent.
Why not? You’re only sourcing things from real-debrid. That’s sort of one of their big selling points, is it’s not P2P, so you don’t need a VPN.
You actually can use Stremio on iOS devices just fine. After you set it up using this guide just go to web.stremio.com on your iOS device, log in, and add that shortcut to your home page. You’ll also need to install VLC (for free) or Outplayer (I think it was $10, but worth every penny) and there’s really no way that I can tell that it isn’t a native app from the App Store.
It’s not the knowledge that I need, it’s mostly the time and desire to set up all that stuff and maintain it and keep it working and constantly needing to track what the latest and greatest version of whatever platform or software that is out there. It’s the same reason I don’t jailbreak my phone or hack my consoles anymore. Sometimes it’s nice to just buy a thing that works out of the box and use it as its intended.
I used to be into that sort of tinkering and custom install/configuring of all sorts of software. I probably still have 2-3 flircs in a drawer somewhere.
These days I just want to be able to buy something, plug it in, and have it work. The idea of installing a plex/jellyfin server and a custom OS on a pi might as well be the same as getting a 4 year degree at this point. I’m sure it works out great for loads of people, but it’s definitely not something I’m interested in.
Of the two major parties, the GOP is far closer to what you’re describing. If it wasn’t for fear mongering, the GOP wouldn’t have anything at all to go off of. Bad things will happen like, immigrants flooding the borders, socialism raising your taxes, your kids being taught to be gay, etc. “Vote for us or bad things will happen” might as well be the official slogan of the GOP. Either that or “White Christians good, everyone else, bad”. Take your pick.
