It feels kind of like you got invited to a bar cause it has like a great live jazz band or something, and it's not like a "Gay Bar" but there's a bunch of guys hanging around in assless chaps and what have you.

And like it's fine but you just never heard anyone talk about this being a bar with that kind of stuff going on, and you didn't expect a place with like a jazz band to have guys like that but hey, it's all good.

Just didn't expect it to be gay like that, y'know?

I feel like I'm being subjected to a podcast bit with my bluesky experience, the discover feed just keeps showing me like gay guy thirst traps and I feel like this literally is not something I've ever heard anyone mention?

Like I just keep getting guys taking selfies in their underwear or accounts named shit like "chicago daddy dom", and of course there's nothing wrong with that costanza-maoist (<- only seinfeld emote I could find)

But I just don't wanna see these guys and their underwear on my feed all the time, and I don't know how to tell this app that without just making a giant blocklist of just gay guys, which in itself feels like a modern seinfeld subplot kind of problem.

Untrue, half life 2 is not a stupid story for toddlers, it's fun playing with boxes time for toddlers.

I decided to search reddit for opinions about styling a beret just for fun, and I have two observations that I suspect may be linked.

  1. Reddit menswear posters absolutely despise berets and say that you can only wear one if you are in the military, literally french, or 80 years old.

  2. There are a lot of Asian and Black men who look really good in berets, particularly a ton of Black artists seem to rock the beret.

I cannot confirm for sure if reddit-logo fashion posters are just extremely racist or not, but chances seem high.

Anyone know any good spaces or accounts that talk about classical tailoring type shit for transfem people, like sports coats, dorky scarves/ascots, non-denim trousers type shit?

Most of what I find just casually searching is heavily geared towards transmasc people instead, and a lot of transfem fashion tends to lean either very feminine alt or harder butch.

The whole oppressive part doesn't even have to be contradictory even, it's just that Kafka does goofy shit like make a courthouse building literally physically oppressive through making it so ungodly hot and humid inside that law clerks who spend too much time in there actually cannot breathe fresh air without passing out.

Or making it so that the process of being in the court system is so stressful that after enough time you literally become the paper skin and glass bones guy from spongebob and shriek in pain and fear over being slightly nudged.

Like he tells the court that he discards his right to further interrogations, then realises it could be a bad idea and just tries to Larry David his way back by showing up next week like nothing happened.

What a goofy moron, I love this shit.

Been reading through The Trial, and I feel scammed by all the "kafkaesque" circlejerk cause this is not a depressing book at all so far.

The protagonist is such a weird little neurotic smug asshole that so far I literally get the impression he could just get his case sorted with the court if he didn't spend a whole chapter stalking his neighbour after sexually harassing her.

Guy just keeps self sabotaging for no reason, he gets to his interrogation an hour late even though he realises that he was not told the time and that he could probably call them back to ask for it. He never feels like it would be wrong to call the courts to ask for his appointment, but he thinks it will embarrass him in front of one of his bosses, so he just decides it's not important.

Really just a weird fucking guy, you get the impression he's actually definitely the kind of guy who might have been reported for something real.

I think the wish granter is in the book too, the main thing the movie changes is not having all the minor artifacts as a financial incentive.

That does actually sound interesting since it will be adding dimensions to one of the more interesting parts of the gameplay.

Having animations for checking the map or doing busywork only is just a dev jerkoff session gone wrong though IMO.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 8 months ago (2 children)

RDR2 needs to be punished for its crimes in convincing devs that forced animations for basic actions was a good idea, even if it was mildly cool in that game cause it did almost everything like that.

(it probably doesn't originate there either but its the most famous current example)

It's amazing how easy it is to make gamers believe that fucking dogshit is a video game genre lol.

"Slavjank" is understandable and forgivable if you're making video games during the global financial crisis, but you've got no regional excuse in the 2020s for making games that don't work and require 6 months of patching, you're just every other dishonest video game company at that point.

You gotta be an indie game studio of like max 5 people now to get the loveable jank excuse.
