Thank a million :) I will remember for my next books which I am writing currently (well one by one) :)

I see what you mean now at 100%. I might have understood, before, slightly different meaning. And yes, when, for example, you are at a bar, or somewhere where they put music or pieces of art (paintaings, etc). Yes, you can see/hear and you feel whatever you feel at that moment.

Or to invite people into a new one :)

That: "such as one morning when I woke up just as the sun hit the perfect angle off a mirror and onto my eyelashes, to cause a cascade of rainbows right in my eyes. Just a few days ago I was lucky enough to enjoy a very unusual weather combination, where it was raining fairly hard at the same time as a very hot sun was in a clear part of the sky. The combination of cool rain and hot sun at the same time was very odd, but greatly enjoyable while exercising." that is something nicely written. I could really imagine the situation. You should keep going on with that thought. To write something about that.

There is more in the world, but I think [a slight derivation of the topic, sorry] we (general) do not take enough time to appreciate as we have to keep going on with our life. Maybe, just to make a small pause can help. I stop here cuz I think I will write a whole novel 😂

Indeed, you went mystic but it is refreshing :). On the "potentially forcefully and against their will" [I hope, I will express correctly ;It depends which creativity. One can still ignore the creativity of a group, of a person. Even if, then, it is everywhere. There is still free of will (generally speaking).

Regarding your last point, I think, there is always a breaking point which pushes the limits somewhere to the right direction or to the wrong, it is, I think a 50/50.

What is, for you, creativity?

Let's put aside AI please :) Just a bit inquisitive about what does that mean for you? (You can go crazy on the reply)

Creativity is creation. Creation from the imagination from our brain which helps to keep going on. Between dreams, inspirations, celebrations, sadness, love. Putting into words is easy sometimes. Sometimes is hard. Sometimes is too much words to put on paper or through HTML. Naively, I thought creativity was not caged. But, it is. Too much codes, boxes, rules (I understand that sometimes some basics rules can prevent upsetting situations.. we all know that). Putting words on a white paper (cliché) helps to vent out. It creates something new which I adore. It creates a new storyline which, sometimes, you do not know where it goes, where it should end.

Is it because we were brought up in a society which imposes a certain way? Or a selective society meaning this type of creativity is worth something but the others no ?

It’s facing the algorithm alone. It’s shouting into the void and still writing. It’s learning tech you didn’t ask for, with a budget that laughs in your face. But words matter. Even the broken ones. Creation matters. Imagination is still rebellion. And that’s enough.

I know.. I push myself a lot not to go but it is hard as I think. I have put that moment as an enjoyable one. But no worries. I will have more work in the upcoming weeks so I will not go that so often....

It became an addiction. It helps to relax. Not a gym rat. But almost. Need to go everyday. Far away to have those extra big muscles. But the "legs day" are..... horrible.... It hurts a lot...

Thank you so much 😁

It is perfectly clear 😁

I have some work to do now...

Thank you so much. I am so happy for the feedback. First, I want to apologize for the lack of pages. When I split my PDF it showed me 20 but yeah... It counted the cover etc.

About: I’m not sure I’m going to articulate this properly, but the writing switches between narration (all knowing) and 3rd person POV a few times. What do you mean? I do not understand sorry :(

General question: Do you think it is important to know the age of the person? What I wanted to do/convey is: talking a bit less about physical trait of the characters but more about the mind, psyche of the characters. So, anyone can identify to the characters easily (if I "remove" the physical part ; including age). Maybe, it is too "conceptual".

I must admit I have hard time with Mira. I wanted her to be the adventurer type the "Let's do this ; let's go" type but also she needs to forecast things like a planner type (If I can say like that) otherwise, she panics. But not so helpless like that lol That is ok. I will rework.

For the side questions. I laughed as yeah for me it made sense but for someone else.. yeah.. maybe not.

Subject: Unauthorized Sunbeam Occupation

This morning, Keeper O. claimed the Sacred Sunbeam Throne in the kitchen for the fourth time this week. When confronted about prior reservations made by Keeper E., he blinked slowly, turned around, and presented his royal backside , a gesture of absolute indifference, historically recognized in Feline Law as “Finders Keepers, Losers Meow.”

An internal dispute followed, involving dramatic stares, passive-aggressive tail flicks, and one loud, unnecessary jump onto the counter.

Resolution status: Pending. Snacks requested: Always. Work accomplished by the human: Minimal. We approve.

🖋️ End of dispatch. More mysteries shall unfold.

Hey all,

I hope I can post my request here.

I recently finished and self-published my first fantasy novel. It’s a mythical-action kind of story, set in a made-up world where Light and Night are locked in an ancient struggle.

I know the writing isn’t perfect, that’s why I’m here. I’d love some honest feedback on the first 20 pages: pacing, clarity, style, anything that stands out. If you’re up for reading, I can share it via DM or a secure link.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to take a look. Really appreciate the time and critique.

How to get the best Mondays?

Go to a supermarket or any grocery store. Grab any Felix, Purina, Friskies. (no Whiskas). Run back home. Give this food to your Divine companion (aka cat). Then, we can relax.

Have you ever forgotten to feed your cat?

Kind reminder: By law (Divine Kitties law, Art 1): lack of food the morning, it is blasphemy. You may bare any consequences of moodiness.

“Rise, mortal. If you can open a tin with opposable thumbs, you can conquer Monday.”

Greetings, more will come 😺

Two mystical cats just joined Lemmy. Their goal? To "felinize" the feed.

Have your pets taught you anything this week? (Besides judgment.)

“The humans ask, What is the meaning of life?

We say: It is the spot where the sunbeam touches the scroll.

If you sit on it, the answers come.”
