That is an extreme stance and it is ridicolous too. And in most (all?) cases, extremism also means authoritatian. Do you have an example for an extreme stance is any good?

I see two issues with that:
No liability. Got your food 2 hours late? Better yet: Didn't get your food at all? Guess you lost that money.
Pricing. If drivers are able to make their own prices, they will probably start undercutting each other, resulting in very low fees for the drivers. Also, it would be very intransparent to userd how much the delivery will cost.

By that definition, the purpose of a computer is to get hot. It of course does get hot, but a purpose is more than simply a side-effect.
Purpose, according to Cambridge Dictionary, is "why you do something or why something exist". A side-effect wouldn't pose any cause, therefore it's NOT its purpose.
