Wegland bereitet noch Probleme mit den Treibern meiner Neid-Grafikkarte. Deshalb nutze ich noch den Anzeigenkellner der X-Stiftung.

Telegraphs weren't invented yet, they were invented in 1837.

"I try to find out stuff about the world, specifically about materials, using complicated machines that help me do the calculations"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Yeah, something like "We have machines with thousands of switches that can do complicated things depending on how you set the switches. My job is flipping those switches so the machine performs the desired task as best as possible"...?

What is it for though? It's overridable, so essentially it just makes it easier to ride without paying too much attention. Also, the speedometer legally had to be slightly lower than the actual speed, sp you're actually driivng slower than the speed limit.

Depends on how often you ride I guess but if there is an e-scooter infront of me (they go 20 km/h), I have to hold back a bit.

Using gender neutral words is easy enough in English but most languages don't have a form like the generic "they" for a person whose gender one doesn't know. This is a debate for another tiem though.

you do not understand the effects of HRT

Neither do you. Or can you prove to me that a "trans woman" athlete doesn't have an advantage in any way? What exactly determines the point in time where they don't anymore?

Yes, gender is an arbitrary thing with no inherent meaning. We assign meaning to it as a society

What meaning, for example, do we assign to it?

You don't need to, it's defined. (Lol). If you take a circle with a circumference of 1, then its circumference will be 1... I think I might have lost some braincells reading this.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 year ago

That doesnt make a difference. You can find the exact circumference of a circle, you just cant express it in the decimal system as a number (thats why we have a symbol for it so you can still express the exact value)
