I watched it well after it stopped airing and went in completely blind. I'm glad I did because I never would have watched it had I known it was dropped.
My disappointment that it was cancelled and without even the typical half-assed conclusion to the story is immeasurable, but it left me with a lot more sympathy and understanding towards fans of other series that met similar fates like Firefly.
Not judging your tastes, as I personally enjoy this type of movie as well, but a basic-ass action flick sequel that is nothing but a thinly veiled military propaganda piece with the bare minimum amount of plot needed to glue together a bunch of cool action sequences is your bar for "good enough to see in theaters", yet you claim you haven't gone in 3 years because the new movies aren't any good anymore?
Something isn't adding up here...
Might as well ignore all attainable goals that would benefit society in the short term in favor of sci-fi pipe dreams that are perpetually delayed as we endlessly run into stumbling blocks.
Forget solar/wind/geothermal/etc. development as well, fusion power could happen any day now so why bother with any of that comparatively inefficient junk?
And really you're just paying extra for the original 1080 bitrate. What a fucking scam, like I'd pay for that crap.
