If it's of any comfort I'm predicting he'll die within the next 4 years. But I'm also predicting it'll only get worse with his death so maybe there's not much comfort to be had.

Yeah. I could see someone ordering a combo and then complain when instead of a combo they have to pay for burger, fries and drink. It's stupid that 5 guys doesn't have a combo option but the person behind the counter did what they're supposed to do, take the order and make sure the person ordering also understands what they're ordering.

Easy is relative. I'm pretty sure the easy way is if the game developer creates a separate "beta" branch. The other way is to turn off auto-update, manually download depos and extract them into the same folder essentially reinstalling the entire game with the updates you want and then putting them in the right steam folder. I personally wouldn't call it easy. I'd say it's tedious, prone to user error and unnecessarily time consuming.

It would be easy if Valve took their "beta" branch feature and expanded it to be an actual rollback.

That's probably the only good thing about Trump. Trump is so brazen with fucking around that the rest of America gets to experience the finding out part. Trump is fucking with illegal immigration and America is about to find out how much they depend on illegal immigrants (because I doubt it's only this one industry).

Actually it's even worse than that. They can't even make up new swear words because they can be fined even if what they're saying is perceived as inappropriate.

After skimming the comments I can confidently say there are 4 types of people here: people who hate LTT, people who hate GN, people who don't know what plagiarism is and me. Best course of action is to just move on to the post. The second best is getting the popcorn ready before diving in, you'll feel like you're back on reddit.

There are gifs of side by side comparison with literally Hitler doing the exact same movement. There side by side gifs with neo-nazis doing the exact same movement. You have Germans saying "Yeah, that was totally a nazi salute". You have historians saying it was a nazi salute.

But okay, let's say it wasn't a Nazi salute. There's mainstream sentiment clearly indicating that people thought it was a Nazi salute and he definitely is aware of that sentiment. Why hasn't he said "it wasn't a nazi salute. I never intended to make it seem like it was."? Any sane person would instantly try to distance themselves from being perceived as a Nazi because nobody, besides a dumbass nazi, would want to be associated with nazis.

That's hardly the reason. If you had a multi-party system the voted would be even more spread out between the candidates which makes it even less likely for a candidate to get more votes than the non-voting population. However a multi-party system would significantly lessen the possibility of getting oligarchic control because you wouldn't have to choose between 2 shitty options, you'd have to have multiple shitty choices for the shittiest one to win.

There has not been an US presidential election where the president got more votes than the number of non-voters. If apathy won then it had won every single time.

Yeah, I wouldn't rule out mistakenly doing the salute. But you don't mistakenly do it twice and then not apologize for doing people considered to be a nazi salute. Even if you do it once and you don't apologize after being called out you're a nazi. It's such a taboo thing that you'd be apologetic or at the very least remorseful or ashamed. Musk is none of those things.

And to anyone defending Musk, if he pulled out his dick and swung it around on stage and then doesn't show any remorse for showing his dick, would you think it was accidental?

Wake up, my friend. It’s 2025. Just because people in power are getting worse, doesn’t mean we can’t strive to be better.

Except the entire capitalist system works against us striving to be better. It's not like the American health care system sucks because the people in power suck. It sucks because to fix it you'd have to take capitalism out of the health care system because capitalism drives the profit motive within the health care system which makes it suck.

Same with transitioning from oil to renewables. Fucking Exxon knew half a century ago that climate change is a thing and will lead to catastrophic results. They were in prime position to shift from oil to renewables and reinvent the global energy system, but it was more profitable to run disinformation campaigns and actively work against the transition so they did that instead. Even now some of the oil CEO-s are like "we're already so fucked there's no reason to go for renewables so let us keep making that money".

Same is now going on with electric vehicles. It's much more profitable to sell ICE cars and fight the change instead of actually changing. I don't remember if it was Mercedes or WV or some other manufacturer, anyway one of the big german car CEOs pretty much went "we can't change to electric vehicles in time for the regulations. But you shouldn't punish us with fines because we're too big to fail."

The list goes on. The reason people here are so anti-capitalist is because most of us see that even if we want to strive to be better we can't because capitalism keeps dragging us down. It's like that scene in "Don't look up" where the world comes together to save itself and just as the crisis is about to be averted the capitalist tech bro fucks it all up because who cares if we're risking our entire planet, there's money to be made. Capitalism will try its best to undermine any effort that prevents maximizing profits.

Do you really think we'll get to the 15 hour work week in 2030, like Keynes predicted? Definitely not under the capitalist system. We have empirical evidence that 32 hour work week improves productivity and we can't even get that because the capital owners refuse to accept it. Literally something that could easily improve all our lives and we can't get it done because of capitalism.

Nobody is against striving to be better but wanting to get rid of capitalism is striving to be better because capitalism is like a steel ball attached to your ankle. It's just weighing down all your efforts to be better.

I'm of the opinion that Musk didn't do an actual nazi salute. He did what he thinks is the nazi salute because he himself isn't a real nazi. He's just an insecure little man who wanted some approval and acknowledgement from actual nazis, so he did the salute as a "look, I'm totally one of you guys". He's a wannabe nazi. Not that there's a big difference because whether you're an actual nazi of a wannabe nazi, you're still a piece of shit. But I think him being a wannabe nazi fits with his public persona of being wannabe everything. He's a wannabe engineer, he's a wannabe tech bro, he's a wannabe gamer and now he's a wannabe Nazi.
