This is not true. The game doesn't have to touch on this topics to tell Vs story but they do touch on climate on the news, cops are very trigger happy, religion is present in the game and you go to a church as part of a mission and there's a whole sect obsessed with cyberware that does judge everyone else constantly throughout the game, including mutilating a monk that refused to get augmented.

This has never worked on reddit and there's no reason why it would work here. That's why subreddits had moderation and things that were posted in the wrong sub got removed.

It's not even tech news, really. More like a service announcement only valid in the US.

At least for cars sold in Europe often times they are still being assembled within the European Union even if in cheaper markets, so protections are still in place and strong. But cars are made of millions of components manufactured all over the world so there's always at least some human suffering somewhere along the chain.

The VR is not perfect, I'll be honest. Apparently this game used to have better performance in the past, but with the updates over time more and more people have had issues. It's having some frame drops on my AMD 3600x and RTX3070Ti, but I'm looking into configurations and possible hardware upgrades, because I'm intrigued enough to want to keep going.

I heard people found the first part of the game a bit boring but for me VR hasn't lost its magic yet so even though I understand where the feeling could come from, I wasn't bored at all. There's a bit of a learning curve with the controls. You can have teleportation based movement if you prefer and are having trouble with feeling sick.

I'd say if you have the PC to run it, the game already in your library and the headset ready to go, why not try it. Worst case you decide it's not for you and move on.

I actually bought No man's sky this week for the first time and started playing in VR because of all this starfield hype/drama. I wanted to play it for a while, but this and the fact that it was on sale on gog pushed me over the edge. It's fun in VR so far and I have no regrets.

I just switched from Sync to Sync. The transition was bumpy but I'm still on Sync.

In that time we've had new people come and experience a lack of apps, many that we do have today were still in the works a month or two ago. We've had performance issues, shitty Active sorting that still shows week old posts no matter how many times you refresh, we've had instances simply disappearing over night, we've had ddos attacks, we've had horrible content spam like CSAM and issues with extremism.

All of that with the cherry on top that signing up for Lemmy, understanding how it works and using it day to day is not as easy as a place like reddit. Who knows what the future holds for Lemmy.

Potentially interesting threads are often empty. It's more like having 50k people in a metropolis and your going door to door to try to find them. Often they cluster around particularly popular spots and that's it. Most of them are ghosts - they don't post anything.

Split screen couch co-op was a feature from day one. I've been playing on PC with the SO for 40 hours now. Haven't touched it solo at all.

It's too late to check with the reddit news, but I see another example with Baldurs Gate horny companions article from eurogamer showing up from both beehaw and sh.just.works, so looks to me like it happens in the browser as well.

I'm not yet sure how to tell if something has been crossposted or just the same link submitted twice, if that makes any difference.
