How many layers is your usual master study?

The forest scene at top right is my favorite. It has great use of light & shadow and color. Really looks like sun is hitting those rocks at the front and the forest expands further into the distance.
We recently decided not to allow AI stuff:
Please keep posts to non-AI generated art only.
There were already some rumors about bad working conditions during the Dark Souls titles, now more with Elden Ring: https://www.ign.com/articles/elden-ring-developers-compare-working-at-fromsoftware-to-playing-dark-souls
Even with some negative accounts, other FromSoftware employees said working at the studio has been a great experience. One employee even likened it to FromSoftware's own Dark Souls, saying, "There's a lot of struggle to get things right, but if you get over the hump it is very satisfying. It's just like you defeated a boss in Dark Souls."
I'm not sure if we should be approaching work like Dark Souls.
This could be a a map in Thief 1.
Somehow this feels more vertical that the other works by you. I wonder if it's because of the darker spot at the top giving this a sense of depth?
Have you ever tried a non-rectangular paper? I wonder what that would look like?
Do we have anything that can make use of such tags? I don't really see the purpose unless there's a programmatic way to filter based on them. Right now many people already write the medium in the title if they want.
Lienekö syynä se uusi junarata jota kaivetaan tuossa alueella. Aika rivit ollu kaivinkoneita töissä.
I'm inclined to say no to AI art, although i'd call it a grey territory to use AI for the first pass and then paint on top of that. However, I'll just say no to all AI for now.
Are you using pre-framed canvases, by the way? I got myself a roll of canvas and just leave my oil paintings lying around until I can get around to buying some carpentry & stapling tooling to build frames.
Your diligence is an inspiration.
Interesting. I've tried Alla Prima, but I haven't found it that easy to work with when using water-soluble oils. During winter I have no way of ventilating my apartment to use paint thinners.
