So why don't we look after people if we have the means?

Who has the means? Why don't they share and use their wealth to really help people and create progress?

And why do we let them act this way?

I will never understand how people can treat other creatures like this.

And then still eat them.

Well my drop zones evolve to piles, and then there's just piles of stuff. But at least I always have a rough idea in which pile the currently desired item is.

I think a good drop zone is limited in size, so it just isn't possible to endlessly pile up stuff.

Right now, I have a small table, which collects all those random things - and when there is no more space to put another thing, I put everything I didn't use for some time into boxes.

Now there's boxes full of stuff, but the room doesn't look cluttered or messy. Progress!

And the next step would be to regularily sort through those boxes and throw stuff away.. Someday. For sure.

I really have the urge to paint a rock now.

No one listenend to those people, the issue has been known at least for the last 50 years, there was enough time for compromises, but nearly nobody cared.

So now we're here.

If I believed that our current system will be the cause for the extinction of my species, how could I still make a compromise with someone who still lives and thinks like it's 1960?

Wir nennen das "artgerechtes Töten". Einem Lebewesen uns Herz zu stechen oder die Halsschlagader aufzuschneiden, oder gleich alles zu schreddern - das ist nicht "artgerecht". Das ist einfach nur "Töten", und man sollte die Dinge auch so benennen, ohne sie durch willkürliche Adjektive zu verharmlosen.

Wie du sagst, ob man generell Tiere töten sollte ist eine andere Frage - aber wenn man Tiere tötet, dann ist das Töten, und nix daran ist "artgerecht".

Right? They always say "this will be done so fast and it won't be so bad and you will feel better afterwards" but while it may be really done fast, it just sucks so much and I hate every second of it and afterwards I may feel that I accomplished something, but I still remember how much every second sucked and probably will still keep procrastinating the next time.

Weiß nicht, vielleicht wird es ganz ferner Zukunft mal ein bisschen schwieriger auf dem Jobmarkt als Programmierer, aber es wird immer jemand gebraucht der Input gibt und den Output verstehen und sinnvoll einsetzen kann.

Aktuell kann ChatGPT den Output von Programmierern steigern, man ist einfach schneller und kriegt alle relevanten Infos sofort. Heißt, man kann mit gleichem Personal höheren Bedarf abdecken, und ich glaube der Bedarf ist noch lange so hoch, dass genug Leute gesucht werden - die dann eben mit ChatGPT effizienter arbeiten können.

Und dafür wurde der Herr mehr als ausreichend entlohnt.

Ja aber stell dir doch mal vor, du hättest davon noch viel mehr!
