Lol same it's just muscle memory to up-bear everything. I don't even think about it and mostly use it to keep track of what posts I've read.

Cw: tyson, abuse, prison

spoilerFrom what I understand his life from early childhood to like his 20s was constant, horrifying abuse. When he was committing crimes he was also ripped out of his mind on drugs and being ruthlessly manipulated by people who saw him as a profit center. Idk if his supposed recovery and, idk, penance and gaining self-awareness is real, but it seems like he never had a chance where he could have become a complete human prior to prison.

Two is one, one is none. If an attacker kills The Beast II with one missile and the ambulance with another you've lost a big chunk of your medical support that might be able to rescue the PoTus. Redundancy in critical systems in case of failure is often worth the extra cost in weight and logistics.

That writing room must have been both brilliant and sometimes tense. You've got the talent, but no one can perform at 100% forever.

Idk but those smug dogs look exactly like the middle aged balding man who is the protagist of "the critic" cartoon from millenia ago.

Word. Old Kung Fu movies aren't "kino" or fine film or anything, but a lot of them are very sincere fun with cool ideas and stunts and their own engaging visual language. They can be a very pure kind of story-telling that's refreshing in our age of capeshit vfx and empty algorithmic writing.

The Wutang Clan or the Shaw Bros. Kung Fu movies?

Then he would have been Karl Manx!

Brb putting a cookie inside a box inside a box inside a rabbit inside a duck inside a... okay I odn't actually remember all the places where Koschei the Deathless hid his death but their is a raw grunting and rolling in warm mud on a sunny day kind of pleasure in digging stuff up to eat that humans cherish.

Many of us just want to wander around telling jokes with our buddies as we look for stuff to eat, then eat it.

I'd guess viewing the ps5 as a symbol that would bring happiness or relaxation.

Like, that's what it's marketted as, that's what he remembers other consoles in his past as offering, and propaganda and nostalgia are powerful.

So maybe what he feels, like the vibe he wants to express, is to get that joy and relaxation, and the real condition of the ps5 and the game market poses a contradiction or paradox between how the world is and how he would like the world to be.

At the risk of seeming ridiculous, let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by a great feeling of love. It is impossible to think of a genuine revolutionary lacking this quality.

Ernesto "Che" Guevara

[W]e understood perfectly that the life of a single human being is worth millions of times more than all the property of the richest man on earth. . . . [The revolution] demands they understand that pride in serving our fellow man is much more important than a good income; that the people's gratitude is much more permanent, much more lasting than all the gold one can accumulate

Even if there was no hope of victory I couldn't stop. Love doesn't stop. Love isn't impressed by police and armies and austerity. It doesn't fear those things. No matter how thick the smoke grows love still sees humans, our earth, our need to help and be helped by each other.

The Fascist doesn't understand love. The Fascist relates to humanity and the earth through hate, violence, and fear. It doesn't know love.

"If you understand the enemy and understand yourself you need not fear the results of 100 battles. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself you cannot win."

Fascism cannot win. It can cause immense harm and damage, but it cannot win. Humans are born of our love for each other and for the good earth. Fascism is born from the false God Capital. Humanity has endured in countless forms for many millions of years, but we can touch treatises written at the birth of capital a scant few hundred years ago. Fascism defeats itself, lasting structure cannot be built from violence, but love perserveres through endless centuries. We are not the first to take up our cause, nor were the communists of old. In every generation back to the dawn of agriculture, the beginning of accumulation, there have been people who recognized the injustice and contemplated how to resist it even as they hammered hoes and scythes in to swords.

The world will not end here.
