Meh, i tried usenet about a year or two ago when I was getting back into this, and it was utterly useless for anything that wasn't English speaking media for myself. Anything locally produced or foreign shows translated (for my kids) where almost impossible to find so YMMV. It seems to have a lot less variety than torrents offer.
I found a private torrent tracker that caters to my liking and now there's almost nothing I can't find anymore and it's also full bandwidth (1gbit in my case) download 90% of the time. Costs are about the same, just for VPN instead of provider and indexer.

Yeah but generally a generation is characterised by the aesthetics of their teen years, boomers were around 30 in the mid 80's. Using pop imagery from the 70's would be more appropriate

Yeah that really depends on location...in Denmark the minimum fine for speeding is 160€, and that's if you're just more than 3kmph above limit...it just increases from there and ends with something like a 1000€ fine and them withdrawing your drivers licence (a new licence is going to set you back 2000€). If you're above 100% speeding the take the car too.

Don't buy a truck if you're just a daily commuter, that's just plain dumb. Get a BEV with much better efficiency and a tow hitch for the occasional needs.
