How did you check the accuracy of the humidity sensor? All of the cheap ones tend to drift/fail fairly quickly, especially if there is condensation (high humidity). This includes initially highly accurate sensors like BME280.

The issue is the "always works for me", the same way an old white man is going to have a lot less trouble with the police or telling a handicapped person to just walk the stairs because it "always works for me".

Excellent. I drive exactly the speed limit, but often find myself stuck behind slow drivers (as the speedometer reads higher), hence the question. Some people do not pay attention (phone, etc.), some are unfamiliar with the road, some are too old to drive, ...

 

In "Dodger" by Terry Pratchett: Why does Dodger scratch "Kaspar" in the carriage of the embassy before setting everything on fire? There is no character I know with that name and if he just randomly picks a German(?) name, why should it remind anyone of him then?
