Who do you think customs are? All they care about is import duty and illegal substances, and they don't even nearly have the manpower to do that fully.
How dare you. Moths are much older, maybe 100 million years. There are 180000 species of moths vs about 16000 of butterflies. Moths are also incredibly efficient at pollinating, perhaps moreso than bees even. In short, moths rule.
