It’s rarely two 9-5 M-F jobs that add up to 40 hours a week.
It’s usually a combination of a primary job that is just below the threshold of full time and therefore doesn’t qualify for basic benefits like health insurance, paid time off, or retirement <32 hours.
Usually the second job is in the evening and weekends. Service jobs, retail, etc. Often the schedule varies wildly and changes often.
Typically both jobs are paid hourly and can end at any time.
A lot of people work much more than 40 hours per week, but don’t have the security of a full time, salaried job.
Having lived in NYC, I completely agree, but Boston would like to have a word.
I was craving the clarity and forward thinking that the MTA has compared to the MBTA.
Yeah, but when you go from “reclined” mode to “so far back your feet are above your head like in a dentist’s chair” mode, you start to feel like these boomers are onto something.

I've been getting these emails and someone in the comments section said you can delete your account without accepting the new T&S. Just log in and click "I Do Not Accept". I used the link one of the emails to reset my password and deleted my account. I clicked on the option to download your content first and it gave me a link and a download WITHOUT having to accept new T&S.
