Adaptation is nominally the film adaptation of the book The Orchid Thief. As such, there is an orchid on the poster.
Cruicial has a downloadable scanning tool which you run and it tells you exactly what memory you need, you don't have to look it up yourself. They'll then offer to sell you the proper RAM which you can either do (Crucial is good quality) or just copy the specs they tell you and search on Amazon or wherever and you may find a better price. Since you're not familiar with different brands I would suggest going with Crucial, their prices are generally reasonable.

The no-PC-version/no-comment-on-a-PC-version is SOP for Rockstar. I'm pretty sure they do it to double-dip from gamers who would prefer a PC version but have to play the game RIGHT NOW. So they buy the console version then when a PC version is released a year or so later they buy it again. I'll admit I fell for it with GTA4, but I've smartened up since then. Well, that, and also having lost interest in the GTA formula.

I used to play Midwinter on my Atari ST. In the manual it tells you that you'll need to travel around the game area and recruit various characters and vehicles, and that you'd never make it by just heading straight for the enemy base. I played the game so many times like that and never made any progress. So eventually I just said screw it and headed straight for the enemy base. And wouldn't you know it, I won.
In this context "money" is shorthand for resources. He's not talking about literal coins and banknotes.
