Oh wait! That's actually what those are?? I thought that was just reaction to light or my hallucinations!

I typically hear that talk from right-wingers, but that's mostly who live here. I have friends who take stimulant ADHD meds and it helps them function in day-to-day life. I take non-stimulant ADHD meds which they seem not even to know exists.

I loved Dark Duel Stories for the GBC. I used to play it all the time even though it's probably not even that great. You could just randomly stack two cards together, and if they were in their esoteric list of possible fusions, you'd get a really strong dude on the field basically free. There was also a Rock-Paper-Scissors mechanic so even if you had a weak monster on the field, they could still obliterate a tough one if they had the right typing.

We probably want to tread lightly on that topic. The same rhetoric is used to undermine Russia's elections and the elections of those regions who want to leave Ukraine.

Our hospitals are bad enough now, I don't even want to think about what it would be like if we "retvrn". And on top of that, sending in people who don't need medical treatment, but instead need supportive safety nets is appalling. Wish people were just normal about disabled and poor people. Or even people who just choose to be homeless. I don't know that there's a lot of them besides travel bloggers, but still.

I made a comment in the previous mega that Dead Space was an excellent choice if already psychotic. I want to make it clear that was sarcasm. If any other psychotics out there are looking for a game rec, that is not the one. Love the game, but boy is it hard on people with psychotic symptoms.

I mean, we're always saying the colonizers should leave the oppressed country. I don't like calling them refugees, but it's good to get them out of South Africa.

In the weekend before my injection, so brain is scrembly egg. Also finished playing Dead Space (2023) which is an excellent choice when already psychotic. Love the games, though. Cool lore, neat monolith, fun critique of organized religion.

I'm not entirely sure what you're saying or your degree of seriousness, so I'll just say schizophrenia is not inherently bad. It is not inherently dangerous. If he does something specific that seems dangerous, maybe stay away. But otherwise it's most likely harmless. And it's not necessarily schizophrenia anyway. He could just have some odd beliefs. Most people do.

I would probably say no. Especially since there are a lot of other conditions including simply age that can cause these symptoms. Asking like this could cause him to become angry (and possibly violent, but not necessarily) or it could cause a lot of shame for him. It could also just cause him to distrust you and could harm the relationship. If you genuinely think he could be harmful to himself or others, then there should be someone you can call. In the US you can call for a wellness check, except I think police are the ones who respond to those unfortunately. If they deem him dangerous to himself or others, he would be brought to a hospital where he would likely receive medication and possibly references to a therapist. But if he seems harmless, it's probably just best to leave that be and steer conversation away from aliens.

When I was unmedicated, I had wild stories like this too. I was terrifying to me; I thought the aliens were somehow going to use me destroy all life on the planet. I'm medicated now, but I still sometimes get delusions similar to this, especially in the week before my antipsychotic injection. Some people can become dangerous when they're psychotic, but most often it's more frightening and dangerous to the person themselves. I'm not trying to downplay what your dad and you at the hands of your dad experienced, though! Just don't necessarily jump to the conclusion that this particular person is dangerous to others.

I'd be careful throwing around the word 'crazy' like that. Lumping in Innocent people with mental illness together with intentionally being a ghoul. She chose to be a prosecutor and to be abnormally cruel about it. She's not crazy; she's cruel.
